As a business traveler I have stayed in a variety of places across the US. If you are planning a trip to New Orleans and want to experience the city as a local you MUST stay at the HH Whitney House. Glen and Randy are the best hosts my wife and I have ever met. The home is charming and...

Stayed in NO with my husband at Whitney House for 4 nights. The review from the Spaniards below upsets me as our hosts and experience of HH Whitney were wonderful. We also stayed in the Solarium suite and I agree that it is perhaps rustic, but it adds to the charm. I would describe the room as shabby chic full...

Had a few days staying with Glenn the weekend before Mardi Gras 2017. The house is stunning, historical and interesting - much nicer to experience than a corporate hotel. The Esplanade itself is a pretty location, convenient for all the bustle of the main town but on some great public transport routes to explore other areas of the city. Glenn...

So here are the facts for the best room in this place (aka "the Suite") - house is old and has not been properly renovated in at least 15 years - several windows had cracks on them - we went in March and it was freezing at night (about 10 degrees). We asked for a heater and he declined saying...

Wow, this review has taken me completely by surprise! Eduardo and Nora seemed like they were really enjoying their stay with us. When they first arrived, I provided a map and gave suggestions on places to visit and eat. I inquired about any special dietary needs and Nora indicated she was a vegetarian. I made the extra effort to plan...

While there are many beautiful homes to see in New Orleans, the HH Whitney House allows you the opportunity to live in one. We stayed in the garden suite and loved the private balcony overlooking the pool and gardens, over the top architecture and decoration: The reception and living room/parlor areas are unbelievable and yours to enjoy during your stay....

Staying at HH Whitney House this weekend was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had! The hospitality was beyond belief, and we truly have met what I hope to be a lifelong friend, in the owner Glenn! Everything was wonderful and we felt truly like we were home away from home!! Every breakfast was amazing and this...

Fun owners, good breakfast, quiet historic gorgeous house. I've stayed in the Scarlett O'Hara room twice now and I'll keep coming back. It is a bit of a walk to the French Quarter - but you enjoy it. At night, you probably want to take a cab. I loved getting in the pool after being muggy from walking.

The look, location and friendly staff made our 4 night stay great. We easily walked to Willie Mae's for food. The 10-15 minute walk to the French Quarter was what we wanted. Glen provided information about the bus, which we took a few times getting back. After walking all day it was nice to be dropped off right near the...

This place was great! We were really sold on the pool/hot tub! The bed in the Scarlet Ohara room was sooo comfy! I could have stayed there all day! Breakfast was delicious every morning, we had long conversations and laughs before we left for the day. We had wine on the veranda of the Solarium room, our friends stayed there....

I don't understand the negative reviews I loved the place. When I asked for more linen I received them right away Glen was so helpful and entertaining we couldn't have asked for a better host The house is a gem and NOT in disrepair. If you want modern historic bed and breakfasts are NOT for you. A home made breakfast...
