What a wonderful trip, Peter and Ruby were the most accommodating hosts! Peter provided a ton of information on where and what to do. Ruby always asking if we needed anything. The room was so comfortable, clean, and cozy. The location was perfect 7 restaurant's in walking distance,as well as a Walgreens, and grocery store! I highly recommend this charming place. It was a short trip to the city as well. Thanks Kirsten G.
The inn is warm and comfy….an actual residence where your hosts are on site and nearby. The area itself has got to be one of new orleans nicest residential areas…with beautiful homes everywhere. Completely separated from the bustle and noise of the quarter. A nice homebase to explore all.
My partner and I stayed for three nights. Peter and Ruby were wonderful hosts: they were welcoming, accommodating and had extensive knowledge about the best places to eat and visit in New Orleans. The room was comfortable and had many personal touches which made the stay feel special. The house is in a great and safe location, close to many good restaurants and a short drive to other areas of interest. The breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from. They will be our first choice of accommodation when we visit again. We recommend them without any hesitation.
Will definitely stay at this lovely bed and breakfast again! Great location to all museums, parks and the French Quarter! Peter and Ruby went above and beyond; amazing made to order breakfasts every morning, clean rooms, and they even shipped us our forgotten clothes back to is!
The Rose Manor is the place we always stay... Quiet, comfortable, clean delicious breakfast... and Kindest owner's Peter and Ruby ... Every time we arrive I feel as though they are our family .. Very wonderful about our privacy, but always Available to answer any questions are needs. D and J Johnson
Peter+Ruby are great hosts. great location, good good, very walkable area. Would stay there again. Great Value! Easy drive to DT NOLA+French Quarter. We enjoyed everything however Trip Advisor wants me to ramble on to reach 200 characters.
Nice hosts. Peter is so easy to talk to and entertaining. Ruby is very sweet, helpful and witty to be around. The rooms VERY clean. We slept real good each night and felt comfortable while there and when we left for the day. Great coffee each morning and I even talked to Peter a min while he cooked our breakfast and got a nice pix by a "grand" grandfather clock. My suggestion Peter open up the ole bar and take donations and do drink night once in awhile. Can walk to the lake and a few places to eat walking distance. Close to bus route. Ten min drive to the inner city. parks are close by to get your walks in etc. posted on Facebook to all my friends and will tell others to consider to stay here.
This was a very nice experience - charming inn with a quiet, comfortable room, excellent hosts and good location (could walk to several good local restaurants). I certainly can recommend Rose Manor to New Orleans visitors.
Ruby and Peter were very friendly and welcoming. Everything was very clean, the room was large and well appointed with special touches like a lighted makeup mirror and towel warmer. Breakfast was simple but well cooked and delicious. They seemed to do their best to make each guest feel welcome. We’ll definitely return and recommend to others.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose Manor! The hosts were wonderful, attentive and super friendly. The room we stayed in (#9) was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Very simple but delicious breakfast every day with the guests. Our hosts were always ready to make suggestions on things to do, places to eat (locally) and tips on getting around. They have a nice patio area to sit and relax, lots of plants around to give you a garden patio feel. We took a little time, had some wine and listened to music one afternoon. Rose Manor is away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter so it's very quiet in the evening hours. City Park is nearby, as is a nice walking area. Be sure to book a weekend where there is not a sporting event, college or pro - downtown will be crowded and parking at a premium. If you do book time during an event, skip the drive in and use Uber/Lyft/rideshare - you'll save on the parking and the headache. Enjoyed this place, highly recommend it!…
