this was a very below average stay. I expect it way more and got way less. The breakfast is horrible and the quality of food was unacceptable. They have extremely rude and unprofessional servers who harass you about a breakfast voucher, when the food should be complementary to all. Also, the rooms were small, but the cookies were good as... This is a good hotel. Clean and comfortable. The entrance is a mess right now, but hopefully it will be better after their renovations. The rooms have already been renovated and are nice. It is a bit of a walk to the best places in the Quarter, but not too bad.

We are currently still undergoing the renovation of the lobby, however we are confident that you'll feel the same way about our lobby. We would love for you to join us... More

The Doubletree is undergoing renovations, and although it is a distraction in the lobby and outside, the renovated rooms are quite nice. The staff were attentive and genuinely seemed to care and try to make everything right. The location is great, whether you're there for a conference/convention or just to enjoy the city. Beds are comfortable, rooms are a decent... More

This hotel has the best customer service!! They couldn't do enough to make our stay any better. We did have a noise problem because of the renovations but it was resolved. The breakfast is great and so are all the staff members. Would recommend this hotel as it's near the French Quarter. The rooms have just been renovated and are... More

Best two men for helping and caring I've ever encountered at any hotel. They went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. I can't express how much these two individuals made our vacation one we won't forget

Although the lobby was under construction that did not negatively impact the trip. Room was nice but could hear too much through the door. Service was very freindly. Bedding was very comfortable and central location.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
