I used to recommend this hotel, but after missing 2 wake-up calls back to back days, causing me to be late for assignment, I am almost assuredly not recommending this hotel any longer. And the continuous noise and sloppiness of the renovation made it just tolerable enough for me not to leave and get a different hotel. NOT SATISFIED AT...

We stayed here for one night prior to a cruise. We had a room with a King one floor above the pool level. There was work going on around the pool and in the lobby. Neither of these were inconveniences. We arrived and were able to check in early at the makeshift check in desk. The desk staff was very...

This hotel is very close to the downtown area and transport hub. Close to shopping centers. The hotel is just walking distance to major attractions in New Orleans like Jackson Square, st Louis Cathedral, Bourbon Street, French Quarters.

While the staff is very friendly, and attentive, the hotel is unable to provide the level of comfort that one would expect from a Hilton associate when the temperature dives. Arrived during a cold spell and the hotel had no heat. My room was 63 degrees and when the maintainence man came to work on the unit it took 6...

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip a few nights ago. I did an Echeckin on the HHonors app. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I had to go through the regular check in process anyways. As the agent checked me in, I requested a complimentary upgraded room & complimentary. I am a Gold HHonors members &...

We stayed here for three nights in Jan.1, 2016. The lobby was being renovated. Hotel was terrible. Breakfast not edible, lack of towels, toiletries not restocked. There was no stopoer in tub, no toilet paper, and satellite television signal was awful.

Spent the Sugar Bowl week here. Obviously really crowded during this time. The lobby renovations are not complete, so a bit crowded in the make-shift registration area -- but that obviously is about to be fixed. Housekeeping did not clean room during a three day stay. The soft drink machines in our floor and the floor below us had been...

We were in town for the Sugar Bowl and I was very skeptical about staying here because of some of the negative reviews. In the end, I had nothing to worry about. First off, this hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to all of the main NOLA attractions. We couldn't have asked for a better location. I called ahead...

Web site states that construction of the guest rooms is finished but this is NOT true. Construction was still occurring on the floor of our room. Noise will wake you up every morning around 7am. And pool is not available. Room was a 1 bedroom suite where the original living room couch had been replaced with a "King" bed (smallest...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
