This boutique hotel is on the west end of Royal Street one half block from Canal. It is in easy walking distance from the action on Bourbon Street, or to the French Market, or to the waterfront. The rooms are small and lack refrigerators. The bathroom is also small but adequate. Staff is courteous and aim to please, housekeeping is... More

Dear Valued Guest: Thank you for the Nice Review of my hotel. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We are only two weeks away from completing a multi million dollar elevator modernization project and cannot wait for this to be over. We look forward to having you back the next time you visit NOLA! Pretty good hotel although nothing extraordinary. Staff was excellent -- friendly and customer-focused. Good security. Attentive parking attendants (hotel parking is expensive everywhere in NOLA). Beds were comfortable but the sheets (and the tub) had marks or stains on them that didn't come out when cleaned. (Yes, they were clean.) The attached restaurant, Olde Saint, was great! Delicious food and... More

Returned from a cruise and stayed at this property for our anniversary. Although check in time was not until 3, our room was ready for us at 9:30AM. The front desk was very nice when we asked to check in early. We were in the addition, floors 19 and 20. The room was large, very comfortable and spotless. If you... More

Dear Valued Guest: Thank you for the Wonderful Review of my hotel. We are very happy you had a nice experience. I love the rooms on the 19th and 20th floor with the high ceilings and spacious layout. You can beat the view or the sound proofing! See you next time! More

Very friendly staff... however, a little expensive for what you get. Hotel room keys stopped working after the first day... only 3 elevators are working, so expect a 30 to 45 minute wait to get to the top floors while it's busy... after a 30 minute wait, and the Elevator making it to the 14th floor before resetting and going... Rooms were clean and very comfortable. We were given a room directly in front of elevators....so noisy! After one call to the desk, they moved us without any argument. Great customer service. All of the staff were pleasant.

The hotel was fine, the outside was revolting- there is a grocery store across the street, there was always a small gang of homeless men across the street, harassing us for money and getting into fights- mind you in the french quarter the streets are very narrow. The noise was unbearable and kept us up.Even with ear plugs and being... More

Dear Tonia: Thank you for taking time to review my hotel. I am sorry that the noise coming from the street was so loud. We are constantly working with the local law enforcement officials to keep the homeless and panhandlers off the streets without violating anyone's civil rights. I and happy you had a good experience with the staff, security... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
