Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Loved our stay. Staff went above and beyond. We happened to be there on a playoff weekend. Wouldn't know it by the top notch service we received. We will definitely be back. Next time we will also have dinner.

The staff is polite and courteous. Easy valet parking. Clean, friendly, good value comparing to local hotels, and great location for easy arrival and departure routes. One block away from the proper area of the French Quarter. Would definitely stay again for future trips to

The hotel was beautiful. Totally enjoyed our stay. However, we signed up for the 120-minute tour at another property in exchange for 30000 points, paid $70 up front to the concierge in the lobby, showed up at 9:15AM right on time for the tour and missed our car rental return

Is it a safe neighborhood to walk?
Stay in the Quarter at night, unless you know where you are going. Uber is very easy and handy here, highly recommend using if leaving the area, especially at night. Down to Frenchman street for the music or walking around the Quarter, never had problems. Be aware of your surroundings is all.

The price per night is that final or is there a daily tax added per night?
There are local taxes added to per night charge. If you park at the hotel expect to pay $38-$40 per night. It’s valet parking “inside” ramp connected to hotel

Hair dryer was in our room, along with our friends room. So I presume each room has one...along with iron and board.

"Ask for a room with Patio access. Great for drinks after a long day in the French Quarter."
"18th floor was good. Customer service was HORRIBLE."
"Choose 14 floor facing the river!!! Look at barges and tugboats earning their living, plying up and down the river."
"Again ask for a room facing the river on a higher floor, they are quieter and offer an excellent view."
"Corner suites are the most roomy!"
