We stayed here for three nights in December and the location is great. The hotel was clean and they let us check in early which was a big plus. The room was comfortable but basic. Two reasons for only three stars: the elevators were often full so it took a while to get out and we were on a floor...

Totally enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable, nice concierge and close to the action. Acme restaurant was around the corner - best, grit-free oysters! Walk to Bourbon Street and store right across the street. Streetcar stop close by too. Lots of fun!

Stayed at this hotel in late January and must say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. The hotel was in good shape and fairly clean. Staff was friendly and nice, but the best thing was the location only 1 block from bourbon street. I had a King room which was honestly huge. It was perhaps twice the size of...

My wife and I stayed at the Wyndham for 5 nights. The hotel is a block away from Bourbon Street and our room was a corner room facing in the direction of Bourbon Street. We found the location to be excellent as it was on the edge of the French Quarters and the Business District. Most everything was within a...

Clean comfortable room. Friendly staff. Good indoor pool. Small bathroom sink. Close to French Quarter and Trolley system. Valet parking. If you want to stay at a hotel where you can walk easily to local attractions, stay here.

We have been staying in this hotel every year for the past five years. It is located right in the heart of the French Quarter. The staff is absolutely wonderful and will help you with anything you could possibly think of. The Valet service is amazing and fast. You can't get better nor find a better hotel in the Quarter

We really loved our stay at the Wyndham French Quarter. One block from Bourbon street. Right on Canal with access to the public transportation. Great views of the River. Based on my stay I would highly suggest your next stay here.

We stayed at the Wyndham New Orleans-French Quarter for 2 evenings and have no complaints. The HOTEL STAFF was friendly and courteous. The ROOM was clean. The BED was comfortable. The ROOM RATE was pricey, but I expected that for the location of the hotel. PARKING is extra, but again, expected that for downtown New Orleans. The hotel is in...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
