We enjoyed our stay at Sully Mansion so much - Nancy and Guy were very hospitable. We've nevcer slept so well away from home, the bed was comfortable, the house beautiful and the food delicious. We enjoyed meeting and talking with other guests. It's an unforgettable place, we hope to ger back soon.

Let me preface this by saying my frame of reference comes from guest experiences in numerous B&B's across the country. I was also raised in the South, so graciousness and hospitality are two qualities ingrained into any child. However, thanks to these owners, my darling husband says, "B&B? Never again." We selected the Sully based on proximity to a family... More

We were so sorry to read that a guest had such an unpleasant experience and that it apparently soured them from visiting other bed and breakfasts in the future. While we realize that guests may be disappointed we work very hard, every day to meet guests' needs and preferences. There were elements of this lengthy review that made us wonder... More

Awesome B&B in a great location! Very comfortable and Guy and Nancy were delightful hosts. I've stayed in several B&Bs in New Orleans and this was one of the loveliest by far. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown this is the place to stay!

We went to Sully Mansion and Nancy was not nice or welcoming. Guy was not there. It was old and needed updating. Light bulbs missing, paint chipping and Nancy was grumpy our entire stay. The location is pretty good and you can park on the street.

The Sully Mansion is the perfect example of New Orleans' grace and beauty. It is beautifully furnished and when you enter the house, you feel as though you have stepped back into an earlier century. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms since most of my time was spent visiting with family elsewhere in the city. I felt very... More

Guy, Nancy & Gracie (Sully Mansion's resident canine) make you feel at home from the time you arrive till the time you depart. The property is well kept for it's age. The furnishings are impeccable, the beds comfortable and more than enough space to move about in the rooms and bathrooms. It's centrally located to the Garden District and the... More

I made a business trip to New Orleans, and staying at Sully Mansion was comparably affordable to staying in a hotel, so I did. I was thrilled with my choice. It was a beautiful place to be, a wonderful combination of history and artsy. Nancy has a finger on the pulse of everything interesting that's happening in New Orleans and... More

We loved our upstairs room! We could see out through the oaks trees to the street below. Nancy and Guy were very helpful and the breakfasts were very tasty! The walking tour of the Garden District was fun; the houses are incredible!! The bed was comfortable and we had everything that was needed for a great stay in the Big... More

We had a fantastic stay at the Sully Mansion B&B! Nancy, Guy (and of course Gracie) could not have been more gracious hosts, and the accommodations were just perfect! It was so great to go from the crazy/fun area of the French Quarter, and return back to the gorgeous Garden District and the Sully Mansion each evening. We cannot wait... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
