Sully was undergoing changes in ownership/management and decoration/renovation . Melinda , was apologetic and very personable. Our room was charming and spacious. The breakfast was lovely and at a southern pace. Located a block from the St. Charles street car, we found the location very convenient. Our 3 nights flew by as we explored New Orleans for the first time. Weather...

We would definitely stay again. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. They were also extremely efficient at preparing for and clearing up after the wedding that they hosted while we were there. We were out and about during the event and if they hadn't warned us about it beforehand we would never have known. We had room 9, The...

Another wonderful stay at Sully Mansion. Nancy and Guy are the best. I am a return guest, it's always a pleasure to stay in this beautiful place, in this perfect location, and to get to visit with Nancy and Guy, and Gracie too.

We attended a wedding for a friend of the family. Our room was adequate, breakfast sufficient and location near the trolley. The wedding was held at Sully B&B and the owner's dog was standing by the bride and groom during the ceremony and freely roamed during the reception. I have other complaints about the experience but will spare you the...

Room was large, well appointed and had a very large private bathroom. The continental breakfasts were sumptuous. Nancy and Guy(owners of the B&B) were very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending sights to see and excellent restaurants. A totally enjoyable trip.

Nancy and Guy have taken a classic Garden District house and turned it into a comfortable home with all of the charm of the neighborhood. The rooms are well appointed with period furniture and modern plumbing. The art is local and many of the pieces can be bought. Great breakfasts and Nancy has helpful tips on local attractions. The Garden...

We had a very cosy room, were very happy to spend some time on the terrace and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere as well as the delicious breakfasts. Nancy and Guy are very nice hosts and we were also pleased to play with Gracie. All in all, Sully Mansion is really the place to stay while visiting New Orleans.

The absolute perfect place to enjoy the elegance of the New Orleans Garden District! Wow was our immediate exclamation as we opened the huge door to our suite and entered what was to be our home for the next four nights. Every day we climbed the steps of Sully Mansion and relaxed in our spacious first floor room with it's...

Could there be a better review if you are the owner/innkeeper of the sully? Close to eleven years later we are so gratified that guest enjoy their time with us. Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
