This is a pleasant and clean place to stay. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is average and this area is also clean and tidy. I was there with a group and had great service.

The hotel was in an excellent location for walking to the French Qtr. The breakfast was good and had a great variety. The room was clean and comfortable, but the view from the window was not desirable.

The General Manager - Ms. Tricia Vise - is a wonderful representative of the Hampton brand. I've been a Hilton Honors member for years and purposely chose this property because of quality and consistency. Our recent stay in celebration of our 28th wedding anniversary was one to remember because of her personal touch. The property is incredibly clean, well appointed... More

Unlike your typical suburban Hampton Inn the downtown NOLA property has a charm one would find only in the "Crescent City", New Orleans. But like any Hampton Inn the accommodations are top notch. Very clean inside and out and well appointed. The security was a surprise and welcome, one can not use an elevator without a room key. Parking is... More

First of all, I didn't realize that Hampton was own by Hilton, so I think that contributes to how nice this hotel ended up being! We stayed on the 7th floor in a double Queen room. For the record, I don't think the beds are truly Queen sized - probably closer to double, but still very spacious. The room was... More

Remodeled nicely, but the room and floor plans are I unique with old charm and looks. Great downtown location, friendly staff, standard city parking charges around 35.00. Walking distance to most of the downtown attractions.

We came here on the recommendation of my brother in law. Good tip. It is on the continuation of Bourbon street, close enough to walk, but far enough away not to be noisy. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and apart from Bourbon street, was close enough to walk to other places of interest. We recommend this hotel.

Great location close to shopping and the French Quarter clubs and Restaurants. We walked everywhere..surprisingly quiet night sleep being in the downtown area. The rooms are very nice and spacious. This hotel is Fabulous! The rooms are beautiful with nice size flat screen tv's. There is an Art Gallery, Barber Shop, Men's Store, Salon and a Food Court. The breakfast is really good, waffles, sausages, oatmeal, cereal, omelette, toast and muffins. The beds are comfy and the rooms have a mini fridge, microwave and safe. Will be staying here again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
