Rooms and hotel are very clean. Great breakfast and wifi. My only complaint was the elevators. Stay on a low floor so you can take the stairs. Every elevator bounced up and down as it got to your floor. We jumped off as quickly as possible in fear for our lives. We were on the 9th floor so stairs would...

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. I appreciate all of your feedback. We are actually going through a modernization of all 4 elevators, so we are working on it. Hope to see you soon! Tricia Vise

When visiting New Orleans, location is key. This hotel is located two blocks from Bourbon Street (French quarter) with the St Charles streetcar passing directly in front of hotel. The other streetcars (Canal and Riverfront) are only two blocks away on Canal. You are walking distance to just about everything in the French quarter, as well as Frenchmen Street and...

Very helpful staff and the beds were awesome. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was good as well. Very convenient location and very quiet even though downtown. The room was spacious and clean. Internet service (complementary) was adequate for our needs.

This hotel has a great location in the French Quarter... and we paid dearly for it. Despite the high price, we were given a very small room with a king bed. It was about half the size of a typical king bed hotel room. There wasn't a comfortable chair either and parking was $40/day. I didn't appreciate that there wasn't...

Thank you for your continued patronage. It appears you were in a king standard room on this past trip. That is our smallest room, so next time when making your reservation perhaps select a king study or a studio suite. Thanks for your feedback, and come back and visit us again soon.

Very dated hotel but employees are very customer service oriented. The door to my room was literally covered with greasy finger prints both inside and out, which made me nervous about the rest of the room. Its not a place where you would use the coffee maker but the location is right at the gate to Bourbon Street and so...

We just went and the location is absolutely perfect for us (a family of 5) we had a studio suite which was nice and specious, BUT for $300++ a night I would have expected better cleaning! Plain out nasty!!! I wish I had never looked underneath the beds (always do to make we don't forget any thing). I have granted...

The only down side on our experience was the wait for the room. Check in time is 3:00. We did not get our room until 4:30. Staff was courteous and helpful to accommodate our requests. Breakfast was average.

The Hampton is a nice place to stay in NOLA. Great location, breakfast and staff. Everyone who we met that worked there was helpful and friendly. Not sure if it was the busy time of year but upon checking in, our room was not check in ready. The carpet and floor had crumbs of some kind. One day I had...

The location is awesome! It is within walking distance of the French Quarter but enough distance from crowds and noise. The room was spacious and perfect for us. The complimentary breakfast was more than we had expected. The staff was very helpful and professional. There is also a food court attached to the hotel along with a small gift shop...

Spacious, clean, comfortable, safe, with a nice view...yes I'm talking about the hotel rooms! Hampton Inn has done it again! They provided a great hotel room. It had huge high ceilings, the pictures don't do them justice. In fact I think this hotel had the highest ceilings I've ever seen in a hotel room. The room had a nice view,...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
