Picked this hotel primarily for the location....and it was perfect! One block from the french quarter, it was close enough to the action, but far enough away so that you can sleep at night. A big plus is that the St. Charles streetcar stops right in front of the hotel! It`s in a historic 1902 bank building, recently renovated. The... More

We stayed here for a night and really enjoyed the experience. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was super friendly. My only complaint is the elevators are old and a bit scary. They shake badly when stopping.

Great room! Great Location! In walking distance to Bourbon Street, and Harrahs Casino. Need room key to get back into hotel after 11pm and use the elevators. Valet parking was $36, but quick and easy.

The location of this hotel is super for a walk to the river walk, shopping, and eating. Located by Bourbon Street. The size of our rooms and bathrooms made our stay very relaxing. We would recommend and stay at this location again.

Had a great stay - front desk staff were incredibly helpful, breakfast was delicious and had tons of variety, and the location was absolutely ideal for all of our activities in the French Quarter! Our room was spacious (there were three of us staying there, and we had more than enough room).

This hotel was in the perfect location, my sisters and I were able to enjoy the night life as well as do tourist activities from the hotel. Their standard rooms are much bigger than the normal standard room, felt like we were in a suite!

This hotel is 2 blocks from the street car stop at Canal Street so you don't have to walk far to get to places of interest. The lobby is beautiful and cold, which is great when you are coming in from the heat outside! Our room was clean and nicely layed out- probably the best layout we have ever had.... More

We booked a three night stay here to tour New Orleans. The room is extremely clean with everything you need in it. Nicely situated not far from Bourbon Street, the hotel had everything we needed. Breakfast is free and excellent. A really wide choice and excellent quality. The only downside to this hotel is the parking charge $40 per day... More

This hotel is close enough to the French Quarter (5 min walk) but far away enough that it is quiet! The rooms are a good size, plenty of elevators. You feel very safe even walking back at night. The breakfast is good, the rooms are very clean. There is only valet parking here and it can get quite crowded on... More

Loved the location, cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. We felt safe as the room card was the only way to access the elevators and there was always some friendly valet folks on duty. Only thing I didn't care for was the $42 per day valet charge (which was actually comparable to all other hotels in the area).

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
