Stayed for 2 nights to see downtown NOLA for first time. Convenient locations a few blocks from Bourbon Street, Warehouse District, and WW2 Museum. Not a lot more to the hotel than the room and location, but no complaints. Friendly staff and standard accommodations for a decent Hampton. Would stay again.

This hotel is located a couple blocks from the action of the French Quarter so it is a great location - close without all the noise. Very large rooms, great bedding, large bathroom, etc. Breakfast is included and it is okay - eggs, fruit, breads and it does the job getting you started. Good coffee and other drinks. My only... This hotel is withing easy walking distance of Bourbon st , the trolley runs in front of the hotel but still far enough away that one can sleep without the 24/7 party noise on the street. Breakfast is typical Hampton but the breakfast area seating is large. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and well maintained. I do recommend... More

We stayed for 2 days after returning from a cruise. We arrived at 9:30am expecting to have to leave our bags and go to the Saints football game. But the receptionist was able to get us in a room even that early! It was great. The room was spacious and clean. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful. I would... More

I truly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the time allowed of 4 hours which gave me the flexibility of when i wanted to rise before the cafeteria closed. Also the fitness room. I was also granted an early checkin and checkout without hesitation.

Excellent location. You do not need a car if you are a healthy individual. You can walk to everything. We walked to French market, river walk, super dome, WW2 museum and bourbon street. Plenty of eating establishments and jaz bars within walking distance!

Good home base for visits to the Quarter. Just a block and a half to Canal street, then you're in the Quarter. Room was fine, no issues. Breakfast is better than your usual cheapo free breakfast. Still had the kind of fake-ish eggs, but had nice selection of other stuff, including grits (nice addition), oatmeal, fruit, cereal, waffle-maker, real butter,... More

We wanted to get to New Orleans for a Thanksgiving getaway and found the location of this Hampton Inn to be perfect for our needs. The National WWII Museum was the primary purpose for our trip and the hotel was a 15 minute walk. The French Quarter is just 2 blocks away - close enough to walk yet far enough... More

Very low water pressure. Carpet filthy. Too pricey for what you get. Breakfast wasn't the same each morning and insufficient for what you pay per night. I will not be recommending to anyone to stay at this hotel. Even though it's not a new hotel, it should have been kept up a lot better than it was. Stayed in room... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
