The hotel was great, high ceilings, comfy bed, very well situated in the middle of everything. Paige at reception was especially nice and helpful. The only negative was breakfast. In this food capital, they had the same stale/defrosted pastry and microwaved rubber omelettes they have everywhere else. Since I had no interest in such a hotel breakfast, with amazing restaurants...

The Hampton Inn & Suites in New Orleans (French Quarter) is a hotel within a five minute walk from Bourbon Street. I paid a little over $310 a night and stayed three nights in room 509, a large room with separate living area, kitchen with fridge and microwave. No view, but I didn't come to New Orleans to stare out...

We arrived at the hampton earlier in the week (in the am) and dropped our bags to do some exploring. We were greeted by 2 younger girls at the front desk who gave us tips on food and other things and very very helpful. Thankfully, the room was ready a little after noon and she gave us a call to...

We stayed at this location for 4 days the week before Mardi Gras. Every single one of the staff that we had interaction with were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and courteous, no matter the time of day. The breakfast is very good. The meat portion is changed every day; ham, sausage and bacon on different days. Lots of other options....

Has the location of the property been mentioned before lol? It should. Being 1.5 blocks away from the madness of the French Quarter during Carnival/Mardi Gras can't be understated. Oversized rooms and high ceilings give this property anything but a cookie-cutter feel. Morning breakfast was plentiful. Value for money? That's hard to say but you'll pay plenty everywhere at this...

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. I agree with you about the location. Close enough to the quarter to walk there but not in it! Perfect! Hope you have a great Mardi Gras! Come back and see us real soon!

Spent 3 nights in the hotel on early February, 2017. As a native New Orleanean traveling back to to New Orleans 2-3 times a year on business, I've been looking for a hotel that could be my home-away-from-home. This one is checking most if not all of the boxes. Checking in couldn't have been better. The desk staff was helpful...

Extremely helpful staff. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Extremely quiet. I never once heard a neighbor even though I know the hotel was well occupied. I never made it down for breakfast (I was on vacation so sleeping in was more important), but I am sure it was fine. The location itself left much to be desired as there were...

I would give this hotel a Standing Ovation! Everything from from location, size and comfort of the rooms, to the wonderful staff. They made our trip truly amazing. The friendly staff gave us great tips on places to go and even sent a complimentary basket of goodies to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary to our room. We will definitely...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
