Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Dear Traveler, I just want to start off by saying that I am extremely sorry and disappointed to hear about the experience you had throughout your stay. I do apologize for your room not having hot water. I looked into the situation and your room not having not water was due to the city working nearby. Again from the hotel and I, the assistant general manager we do apologize for the inconvenience. We hope that you can stay with us again on your next trip. I promise your stay will be amazing! Sincerely, Chaz Cavignac Assistant General Manager

As long as you stay on the main roads in well lit areas I would say absolutely yes. We walked from the hotel to bourbon street and through the French quarter and walked back later that night and had no problems. Just stay aware of your surroundings

Does anyone know if $40 is the current and correct amount for parking? Thanks!
The prices change but you can park at some of the meters after hours and it’s free. So ask around the staff in the hotel can tell you the time that’s free

Yes! This is perfect IMO for a family. SAFE location around Canal Street and very close to the aquarium and Bourbon Street/French Quarter.
