We had a King Suite, and even though it looked bigger in pictures, it was roomy enough for two adults and two kids.
The couch is a fold out, but it means manoeuvring around this to get to the main bedroom.
The hotel offers free...More

It is awesome to see you discovered the secret to enjoying NOLA without all the antics that come along with the eternal party that is known as the French Quarter! Many guests share your sentiment...they love to be walking distance from all the city has...More
We were so happy with our choice of this Embassy Suites! We usually stay closer to the Quarter but this was a short, focused trip and this hotel was better located for our needs. It's within easy walking distance of The National WW II Museum,...More

I was in a 13th floor balcony room. Great view of the city, the bridge, the ports, facing away from French Quarter area. Room was clean and spacious, bed was very comfortable, and staff was kind. Only disappointments were a very noisy toilet (but clean,...More
Spent four days at this hotel while attending a meeting at the convention center. Positive notes are that it is in a great location with a friendly and helpful staff across the board. Bedding was extremely comfortable. There are some negatives however:

I was visiting with a teenaged niece and the layout was perfect for privacy.. she used the living room with a pull out bed, and I got the king bed in the bedroom.

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Every morning there is hot oatmeal and grits, yogurt, cereal, fruit, muffins, toast, bagels, and danishes. Juice of course. There is also biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. Although they do have an omelet bar, it gets so busy you’ll be stuck in que for a good 20+ minutes if they are busy. While they will never run out of food (i should think), if you want an omelet, get in line right away.
Hope this helps :)

The lighting in the room is extremely poor unless u hand in the bedroom where the terrace is. As for the cleanliness that was never an issue. I stayed several nights. The room was clean and I never saw a rodent. There was a bit of mold up by the shower head but that could happen anywhere. I also felt the room was a little dated but I did find the property to be clean. I hope this helps.
