I love Embassy Suites and jumped at the chance to stay there on a business trip in December. It started off very well as they got me into a room early so I could recover from a very difficult flight.

So glad to hear you enjoyed our complimentary breakfast and our suites! We sincerely appreciate your feedback and am so glad that you had a great experience at our hotel. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future!
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It needs to be inspected and shut down. The sofa bed was old. The room was smelly. There was hair in the bathtub. Shame on Embassy.. I stay in Embassy Suites in other states and they were...More

We stayed here one night before we sailed off on a cruise. It’s very close to the cruise terminal so that was great. Also within walking distance to the Riverwalk mall.
The actual hotel is pretty “meh.” Pretty thin walls/doors and the rooms were fairly...More
Very dated and in need of a facelift. Parking was pricey....garage across the street was half the price. Room wasn’t ready at check in. Location was good and staff was friendly. NOLA has So many hotels. Do your research and read reviews.

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Every morning there is hot oatmeal and grits, yogurt, cereal, fruit, muffins, toast, bagels, and danishes. Juice of course. There is also biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. Although they do have an omelet bar, it gets so busy you’ll be stuck in que for a good 20+ minutes if they are busy. While they will never run out of food (i should think), if you want an omelet, get in line right away.
Hope this helps :)
