We stayed at Creole Gardens for 5 days the last week of March and the first week of April, 2014. My mother-in-law and father-in-law accompanied our family - this was their first trip to New Orleans. Our immediate family stayed at this great B&B in 2013 and loved it. Comments regarding the facility, location and food made by others I...

When you read several of the reviews of this property, you will understand that this is a unique and charming place. We stayed for three nights, and had a wonderful time. Our room was painted several bright colors, and we were perfectly comfortable. The breakfast each morning was top-notch, with several options and a made to order hot breakfast as...

Creole gardens B&B is such a gem! From the outside it doesn't look perfect but as soon as we walked into the office, stepped into the whimsical courtyard, and saw the dining area, we were blown away. It's not like any hotel you could find, it's got character and quirk. Our room was a gorgeous turquoise color and had some...

We stayed in The Creole Gardens for (only, unfortunately) 3 nights on our first visit to New Orleans, and we loved it. The welcome on arrival is genuine, and is a good sign of what's to come. The staff are friendly, professional and most helpful and got us off to a great start in this lovely city, with basic but...

So great to hear that yall truly enjoyed your stay!!! Sorry for the "in progress painting", with properties this historic we've always got something to "touch up" it seems!! I must say that the only thing I wish that could have been different during yall's stay was the weather! Next time you'll have to bring some of that Florida sunshine...

The Creole Garden Guesthouse has all the charm of New Orleans. The staff was very helpful and great to work with. First they called me several days ahead of my trip to inform me of the traffic that I might run into because of Mardi Gras parades that were scheduled. They suggested that I get there before 5:30 since the...

I have to admit, when our cab pulled up, there as a bit of concern. A big red dumpster was just outside (temporary as we found out, due to some lost trees from the frost), and the locale a bit off the beaten track. Well both those things turned out to be big plusses. Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
