We stayed here during Christmas 2015. We used to stay in the French Quarter for years, but the hotel we stayed at, while we liked the rooms, amenities, etc,, it proved more expensive every year we came and with the separate parking costs plus pet fee the hotel became a bit pricey for a short trip. For a change of... More

Creole Gardens is my favorite place to stay in New Orleans. The Garden district has many beautiful homes and is a great place to walk around. The owners and staff there are very friendly and accommodating. Plus it's pet friendly! Creole Gardens is a charming place and full of character.

I stayed here with a friend for a week at the beginning of August and it was great! The room was comfortable and clean and it was really like living in New Orleans rather than just visiting, Walking distance to park areas and restaurants, plus there was amazing breakfast every morning and coffee 24/7. The staff and amenities gave it... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here in July 2016 for one night as part of a cross-country road trip. I have nothing but great things to say about Creole Gardens-the staff, the location, the atmosphere, and the breakfast were all fantastic! We booked the cheapest room they had as we were on a tight budget. We were delighted when we... More

My friend and I stayed here a year and a half ago and I kept wanting to write a review for this lovely B & B so I finally found the time for it. First, this was a last minute trip and it was during a big NCAA football game championship so finding lodging was difficult to begin with and... More

At first I thought we had made a mistake, the door to our room needs to be replaced as it does not close well and is pretty beat (Cottage 4). Air conditioner almost never shuts off even when set at 77 degrees and while not real noisy, it is not something we hear at home so... The two gentlemen that... More

We're super delighted to hear that your overall stay was mostly enjoyable. However, we do take your concerns seriously and hope to properly set expectations for our future guests! The Creole Gardens property is a collection of 24 unique rooms divided amongst 2 historic New Orleans properties. We do admit that as with all converted old homes our rooms are... More

We stayed as part of our US road trip, back in May, and we were so pleased with all aspects of this delightful guest house. It's in a great location, minutes from the tram into the main city or just a 30-40 min walk to the French Quarter and just 20mins to the fantastic Garden Quarter. We were able leave... More

We stayed 2 years ago and were happy with the service, the location, the cleanliness, the friendliness. This time, even more so. We love the homey feeling. The breakfast is yummy. The location is perfect for getting around with public transportation, your car, or your feet. Very important to us - they allow pets. Specifically large dogs that are often... More

I pulled together a last minute trip to New Orleans and poured over places to stay. I stumbled across Creole Gardens, pulled their website and gave them a call. Andrea was wonderful as she gave me some history of the place and allayed my concerns that I would be too far from the port and the French Quarter. I crossed... More

The Creole Gardens From the beautiful courtyard to the fun and beautifully decorated rooms to the fact that their "pet friendly" is really "pet friendly". Our dog loved it there! Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
