This was our second stay at Creole Gardens and it was even better than the first time with upgraded decor and furnishings. Desk staff and kitchen staff were all personable, efficient and helpful, as usual. Great location (didn't use the car once) and perfect for the dog, with a dog park nearby. This is definitely our go-to place whenever we're...

This Bed & Breakfast is a remodeled residence located in the garden district and is a short trip from other places like the french district and the convention center. The rooms are well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The people are friendly and the breakfast chef even hosts a DJ event Friday nights.

We loved our stay at Creole Gardens Guesthouse. We only stopped for the night on a road trip, but I wished we could have stayed longer. The house is brightly decorated and the gardens and courtyard offered a nice place to hangout with my dog (pet friendly!) The room and bathroom were small but decorated with a funky purple chandelier...

We spent 3 nights at Creole Garden and fell in love with the inn and it's staff. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and decor essential New Orleans. Peaceful garden with fountain was extremely relaxing after a day of touring. This will be my first choice of places to stay when returning to New Orleans.

This bed and breakfast is unique and completely charming. I loved Cottage 8 with the vintage 33 rpm album covers on the wall, the beautiful lavender chandelier, the fantastic higher than high ceilings, the windows near the ceiling, the exposed brick of the old chimney. I love their use of color in the room (soft lavender and green) and in...

Thank you so much! Cottage 8 IS a great room. Love the description. You must stay in another of our unique accommodations next time. No two rooms are alike. We are glad you enjoyed your stay so much and appreciate your telling others about it.

We came back to Creole Gardens because of the location (so close to trolley to French Quarter) and the parking (free). Well, also the grand breakfast, the quaint courtyard and rooms, and terrific staff. Plus we had dogs both times and the Creole Gardens are close to a park to walk them! We were on our way from Connecticut to...

This was our third stay at Creole Gardens and we love the place so much that it's the only place we stay when we're in town each year for our anniversary. The service is amazing. On our last trip there, we arrived a lot later than our planned arrival time due to an accident on the highway that had traffic...

Great clean rooms in a historic house full of character, every room is different. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Yummy breakfast included. Can't wait to return. Just a tram ride away from the hustle and bustle of the French quarter.

This was a very enjoyable place to stay. We really enjoyed the service; upon check-in, we were escorted to our room and given a tour of the property. The room itself has tons of character. We especially enjoyed climbing out the front windows onto the balcony. Our room overlooked Prytania street, and was likely one of the noisier rooms from...

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
