Very good service at this Best Western. Helpful with their service and directions. Good Breakfast. Be careful of the traffic learn the routes in out with a good local map. Use the trolley and ask the desk people how to get on and off. Do not drive your car downtown unless you know the city real good.

This hotel was right on the streetcar line. No driving around. They had secure off street FREE parking. They offered breakfast and snacks, FREE!! Oh, and FREE real flavored water with oranges and mint. Awesome! The beds were comfy. The rooms were neat. A little better cleaning was needed in bathrooms, keeping it from 5 star. The employees knew how to...

We stayed here for three nights. We chose the Garden District as the hotel we usually stay at in the FQ was booked. The rooms were very nice. One of the nice features was having two bathroom sinks in two areas, especially traveling with female family members. The beds were incredibly comfortable, as were the pillows! They had very nice...

The staff here is wonderful. Free parking (pretty sure it's one car per room. The rooms get nice and dark at night, and despite being on St. Charles everything was very quiet. The hotel is on St. Charles so it's along the streetcar line. There is a tiny tiny gym but if you care too much about that then your...

Tired of expensive big box hotels downtown? Stay in the Garden District -Quiet, lovely with lots of good restaurants, lovely houses and you can take the streetcar downtown in 20 minutes. The St. Charles is a great choice - it was comfortable, a good breakfast and helpful staff. I was really glad I stayed here instead of the conference hotel...

If you know NOLA you know the Garden District is for walking amongst amazing architectural spkendor. The homes and properties are unique and interesting. Visit Lafayette Cemetary and Voo Doo BBQ, all within walking distance. The hotel was clean, quiet and has old world charm. The breakfast is included and exceptional. It sounds like you were able to explore a lot in the Garden District. Lafayette Cemetary is one of the most interesting places to see in the city! They always have great tour guides telling interesting stories. I'm glad you enjoyed our breakfast and parking! While our parking onsite it limited, we do also validate at a secure garage nearby....

Good location with very friendly staff. Nice breakfast too! The closeness to the trolley was welcome and the building was quite lovely. The room had a vague unpleasant smell though. Overall the experience (despite the smell in the room) was a good one.

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
