WE stayed here last week . The hotel is right across Canal Street and the start of the French Quarter..Royal Street and Chartres. . The premise is very elegant. Rooms are adequate in size. I bid for this hotel and paid only 92 dollars, Not bad for a four star hotel . Be a little careful at night as many...

this hotel is one of my favorite hotels and all of New Orleans. It used to be called the Le Meridien but it has since changed it's name. We love this hotel so much that we got married here in 2002. The restaurant downstairs is great for breakfast. In addition we are Marriott rewards members of the highest class and...

Very convenient to Bourbon Street, casino and all of the local tourist attractions, the JW Marriott is a fine hotel at a great price. The lobby area has a bar area and there is dining area towards the check-in desk. The hotel is uniquely shaped and offers great views of the City. I like to get a view of the...

I had stayed here previously, and it had been a very pleasant stay. So, I returned with my wife and two daughters and had a good stay; but the twin bed rooms are small, and it was cramped, especially with the tiny bathroom. And while good, it’s arguably not living up to the marque billing of a JW Marriott. Pros:...

I am super picky about hotels! This place is clean and nicely kept! Parking is $45 which is pricey but it's the French quarter so most parking is around that price. The foyer and common areas are very nice. The room was spacious and clean! Just a nice stay! Great location as well!

The hotel is fine and the staff are all really nice. However, they cool the hallways to what can only be described as frigid. It was really uncomfortably cold! The rooms are also not well sound proofed. I'm not taking about street noise, that was fine. We could hear the man in the room next to us cough, talk on...

Solid JW Marriot Experience on the edge of the French Quarter. The quarter is out your front door, the St. Charles and Canal street cars are too. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
