Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

The Intercontinental is in a great location and is nicely appointed, but the service is lacking. They failed to give us the wake-up call that we requested and when we mentioned it at check-out, the desk agent said, "I'm sorry about that," as if it was a recorded message.

Great location! Excellent service! Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It's a short walk to the river and to the French Quarter. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend getaway to New Orleans. I could not say enough good things about the parking valets and the service that they gave. We arrived at 9:00 AM on a Saturday and checked to see if we could get into our room and were pleased that we were able to.

Dear Tom F, Thank you very much for the review of our hotel. We appreciate that you took the time to write about your experience and the great service provided by our team. We hope that you had a chance to try our signature restaurant Trenasse - it features local rustic Louisiana fare. Of course, we have Pete's - which features beef from a local sustainable farm and an award winning gumbo. Please tell your friends about your stay and come back to visit very soon. We want to have another chance to earn that last star. John Romano

Hi, do they have Shuttles to and from the Airport???
No Free shuttles from the hotel because it is a long distance from the airport. So we paid, and took a private airport Van to the hotel for $35.00 for both my wife and myself.
