A big old hotel in a great location, professional friendly staff and a couple of descent restaurants and bar. Room was clean and reasonably spacious, mini bar was well stocked and they had a brand new new Peres so machine. The less stellar parts of our stay: room was in tower 1, which had 1 (out of possible 3) functional elevators - it meant 10+ minute wait times to get in and out of your room. That was enough to drive a guest crazy. The gym is in windowless room, it’s dark and unwelcoming - felt like a prison gym, or at least what I’d imagine a prison gym to look like. Room service menus is very limited, although the food is great and shows up quickly. Again - the staff is great. Pool is small and messy - although you can easily find a chair. Fix the elevators, renew the gym, expand the room service menus and clean up the pool deck - your great staff deserves a better building to work with.…
We just returned from 3 nights in New Orleans and had a wonderful stay! My husband is originally from New Orleans and his parents got married at the Roosevelt in the 1960's, so we wanted to stay there to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. We had 2 king suites and a regular room. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Nice and quiet, which is not easy in that part of town. The weather wasn't great so we didn't have a chance to use the pool but it looked lovely (albeit crowded with what appeared to be a large wedding party.) The highlight of our stay was the Sazerac bar. Special shoutouts to Eddie, Tre, and Jamia, who went above and beyond to make my daughter's celebration special! We also had excellent service from Jasmine and Jordan at the front desk. Highly recommend it for an upscale stay close to everything! We will definitely be back.…
My wife, oldest son, and myself spent the weekend in Nola. As the title states, this was our first trip after having triplets. It was a business conference for me and a getaway for them. The accommodations were excellent, and the staff was friendly. A special shout out to Nicole in housekeeping who helped with supplies for my wife who’s was often busy pumping milk.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Roosevelt New Orleans. It certainly lived up to the Waldorf Astoria reputation with the absolute most excellent service. The attention to detail was above and beyond in our large King Suite. Loved all the special touches, robes, tea and coffee pots, and especially having 1.5 baths. I do wish the hotel restaurants were just a bit less expensive, and we would have enjoyed the breakfast buffet everyday not just the weekends. Bonus we got to see two beautiful brides while we were there. Overall a beautiful hotel.
Avoid this hotel at all cost. The staff is beyond rude. This hotel once offered an elevated and luxurious experience but it misses the mark by a long shot now. The concierge, Cody, was the rudest person we encountered the entire visit to New Orleans. The room smelled musty and the toilet wasn’t screwed down, no one came to fix it after requesting. The main restaurant changed their menu but didn’t find it important enough to share with the guests in the hotel. There are no food options aside from fried chicken on Mondays.
Enjoyed 3 nights in this magnificent hotel. I had a one bedroom luxury which was perfect. Located right in the heart of the French quarter and easy walk to everywhere. The hotels has several high end restaurants on the premises. The pool was a little bit small for a hotel of that magnitude in my opinion but no biggie.
I rarely post since most things are subjective. I usually check cleanliness and overall rating. They not only met my expectations but exceeded. Starting from check in to check out every person was amazing. Special shout out to Sazerac bar for amazing drinks and service. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to New Orleans was the highlight of my trip. Special shout out to Racheal, Jonah, and Ashley plus all the other that made it perfect.
Staff was very pleasant. My second stay, hubs has been coming here for several years for a conference. Was not impressed with Delmonicos. The breakfast buffet in the lounge is very good. Wish they were open at nights for drinks as it's much quieter than the bar. Drinks at bar are good but with the conference it's too crowded, not much seating to begin with. Drinks are pricy but that's to be expected if you're staying here to begin with. Easy walk to do bar crawls and wander French Quarter.
I loved the mattress, the 2 seperate massage jets were amazing and the test message concierges was genius. The only thing I didn’t like about this place was that there was no one greeting you at the doors at the road.
We stayed in multiple rooms for the Tulane graduation. Several were octogenarians and had ADA needs. Somehow, the booking personnel booked all ADA rooms and couple not adjust the rooms for all but 2. We understand errors and lack of rooms to accommodate us for a night or so but all week... The refrigerators were warm and the ADA persons needing cooler temps for meds were told it would be 100 surcharge to replace the refrigerator. All parties in our group had intermittent cleaning service as well. On a positive note, the Roosevelt is a beautiful, grand, Hotel with incredible potential, in a perfect location. The food from room service was excellent and hot. The gym was okay and the pool fun. We would return when staffing and other shortages allow for this classic grand hotel to really show her stuff !…
