Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

From the moment you get out of the car you are greeted by the most amazing people! When you walk into the hotel it takes your breath away it is so beautiful! We got there early so the rooms were not ready but we were able to store our luggage and they would text us when the room was ready. My sister and I went to explore the town and 30 minutes later we got the text our rooms were ready. We got back to be explained that there were two separate towers I was in tower one on the 14th floor and my sister was on the 12th floor but in tower 2. Come to find out they are on the same "floor" connected by a walk way. The beds were super comfortable and the room was quiet! It was well appointed and spacious! My view sucked but my sisters view was AMAZINGG and did not hinder my experience as we were not there for the view. We went down for breakfast the next morning at the Fountain Lounge and it was fantastic get the eggs Benedict! The hotel was within walking distance to just about everything. Bourbon street was just a block away and a street car stop was just at the top of the street the hotel was on. The service at the Sazerac bar was phenomenal and the drink itself is good. There is a rooftop pool on the 4th floor and the bar there is great serving frozen drinks and great service. But the bar closed at 6:00 PM which as a downfall. Will certainly be back to this location!

This is the 4th time I have stayed at this hotel and it will likely be the last. We have stayed here because it is so close to everything, Domenica (in the hotel) is an amazing restaurant and they have a rooftop pool which is nice. The hotel is lacking good management and the overall customer service people expect when they are traveling. The front desk team is not polite, the morning breakfast team at Teddy’s all seem to hate their jobs and don’t order room service because the servers don’t like their jobs either. What happened to service with a smile? Kim at the hair salon was one of the few pleasant people I encountered in my 4 day stay. You have a nice hotel but you need to teach the entire staff about the importance of a great customer experience. The little things do add up and can either create a positive or negative client experience.

Stayed for 2 nights in room 1-1302 a 1 bedroom king suite. A very comfortable and large room. We had a bath and a half. View was of canal street with partial water views. Service was outstanding! Erica and Dwaynelle, thank you for your professionalism during check-in. I truly believe the word ‘no’ is not a part of the Waldorf Way. The pool is such a relaxing place, the outdoor bar always had patrons just enjoying the day. Turn down service was a nice touch and appreciated. Everything in my room was in proper working order. We ate at Domenica, but couldn’t charge it to our room as Domenica rents the space and is not part of the hotel. Had a perfectly made Sazerac by Bartender Michael in the Sazerac Lounge. Concierge’s Roy and Cody were a fountain of information when it came to the history of the hotel. There is a church across from our room, if you are a light sleeper, stay on the other side, the bells start at 8am. There are 2 elevator wells, Tower 1 and Tower 2. The first number of your room represents which Tower elevator to take. Tower 2 is in the original part of the hotel. I’m so thrilled I was able to stay at this Waldorf property. Good job everyone!

Staff friendly and fast, roof top pool is nice and lots of seats and has a bar. Rooms clean and nice (no coffee in rooms). Parking very expensive! Great location with and easy walk to most sites. Had to walk down to the Starbucks for coffee the café opened late.
