B&W Courtyards is an 1854 Creole compound consisting of three historic cottages connected by lush tropical courtyards. An architectural award winner, B&W Courtyards is just 3 blocks from the music clubs on Frenchmen Street and 4 blocks from the French Market - close to the action but in a quiet neighborhood for when it's time to relax. Featured in Travel & Leisure magazine. A/C, cable, private baths. Hosts Dana & Tom are known for their knowledge of New Orleans' diverse cultural scene: jazz, rhythm & blues and funk music; social aid and pleasure club second line parades, Mardi Gras, food and restaurants as well as museums and tours. They are happy to share their expertise with you. All of our rooms have en suite bathrooms - no walking down the hall or sharing with other guests. All but one of our five rooms feature a king size bed. The rooms are individually decorated with antiques and fine reproductions - no cookie cutter corporate decor here. Our artwork is by local painters and photographers. We take breakfast seriously at B&W Courtyards Bed and Breakfast: serving classic south Louisiana breakfast dishes accompanied by fresh fruit compotes, juices, New Orleans blend coffee and an assortment of teas. We do our best to accommodate the dietary restrictions of our guests, whether vegetarian, vegan or gluten free.

The B&B utilizes all available space on the property to provide an enchanting oasis to guests. It's very close to just about everything - just a short walk to French Quarter, Frenchman St., Decatur St., etc., and of course, the French Market. It doesn't look like much from the street - but go through the gated door and you will immediately find what makes this place so charming. The B&B has numerous fountains and even a hot tub. The breakfast is always terrific! This is my 3rd time to stay at B&W Courtyards and couldn't be more satisfied.

Thank you for staying with us again and thank you for your terrific review. The Creole men & women who originally settled this neighborhood shunned ostentatious displays of wealth, and their architecture shows it. Behind those sometimes forbidding shuttered exteriors in the French Quarter and Marigny you will find magnificent interiors and courtyards. Creole life was centered around family and friends and their houses were designed to provide a serene retreat separate from their commercial endeavors. And so when you return from a day exploring the neighborhoods of New Orleans you'll be able to relax in one of the courtyards or in the hot tub with a glass of wine. And our breakfasts in the morning will fuel your day's adventures. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again on another visit to the Crescent City Warmest regards Dana & Tom

What a lovely surprise it was to find this adorable Bed and breakfast, and what a breakfast it was . This charming well decorated and clean establishment is the ideal location. It is well run, we stayed 5 nights and got fresh towels daily. They even got milk for us when I explained we like to drink tea. The thoughtful touches of beer for nominal fee in the front fridge, and nothing was too much trouble. Our hosts Dana and Tom made us feel so very welcome.

Thank you thank you for your great review. It was a pleasure to host you and your friends. Dana & I are delighted that you enjoyed your visit with us. You picked a great weekend for your trip - we had three early Mardi Gras parades in the neighborhood - so you had the opportunity to get a sense of what carnival season is all about. The Krewe du Vieux parade is one of the most popular of the neighborhood parades, probably due to its scandalous themes. We do our best to accommodate our guests needs and preferences - like the milk for your evening tea. Dana & I hope we'll see you on another visit to New Orleans. And, if you want, you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with what's happening in New Orleans and B&W Courtyards

Wonderful location in Marigny! So close to the awesome music of Frenchmen Street, also walkable distance throughout the French Quarter as well as to parts of Treme and Bywater (if you have comfy shoes). We felt very safe and walked everywhere (obviously using common sense). The hot tub was lovely, as was the drink fridge. Tom was great at providing recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, as well as at answering questions from guests. Everything was clean, the bed comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet, but still close enough to all the action. We very much enjoyed our visit to New Orleans!

Thank you Kevin! You're absolutely right about our location. We do hope you'll come back for another visit. There's so much to do and experience in New Orleans. This weekend coming up is the beginning of peak Mardi Gras season, with four parades rolling through our Marigny neighborhood - Krewe Bohéme, Krewe du Vieux, Krewe Delusion and 'tit Rex. Right now Tom's got a dark Creole roux cooking for the gallons of gumbo for our KdV open house on Saturday - And after Mardi Gras we'll be rolling into festival season with French Quarter Fest in mid April immediately followed by the two weekends of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Thank you again for your great review And if you want to keep up to date with what's happening in the Crescent City, stop by our Facebook page from time to time. Warmest regards Dana & Tom Warmest regards

We loved staying here. Comfortable rooms, artsy and homey atmosphere, pleasing surroundings, and a lovely outdoor area. Great location, we walked a lot. And its just three blocks from Frenchmen St; the scene of lots of great jazz. Amazing breakfast; Tom has lots of great pointers on good music to catch and places to see. A wonderful introduction to New Orleans made easy.

Charming and unique stay with friendly, helpful hosts. Tom's breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. Neighborhood seemed very safe. Close walk to the music clubs on Frenchman St., a bit farther to the French Quarter, and about a 10-minute walk to the streetcar, which connects to other ways to get around the city. Rooms were very clean, nice towels, good shower, refrigerator, small TV, quiet A/C and fan. Did not use the hot tub but there is one in the courtyard. Nearby bicycle rental shop, cafe across the street.
