This place is beautiful, and Tom and Dana are fantastic hosts. They show a real interest in their guests, but at the same time respect their privacy. I truly enjoyed staying here. Breakfast is great. Something different, but still delicious, every morning. Location is great... walking distance to the french quarter, so you are close to all the action, but... More

My friend and I stayed here for about a week. Tom and Dana have an amazing set up for visitors. They were hospitable, full of information about the city, and generally very nice hosts. The breakfasts were incredible and everyone staying there were so friendly. They have a prefered taxi driver and she was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for... More

You know the commercial that says, "Don't just visit ---, live there." Well... that's exactly what it felt like when we stayed at B&W Gardens. Tom and Dana welcomed us in and it felt like we were home. The Barbados Suite was a sweet slice of heaven and felt like we had an apartment in the city - a hot... More

Firstly, Tom and Dana are amazing - no other way to put it - they will take care of you. Even though we were usually hung over from meeting all of the amazing locals who fed us too many drinks while we listened to great music; Tom was at the ready with Chicory coffee, an unbelievably beautiful breakfast, and great... Our stay at B&W Gardens was great. Breakfast every morning was a fruit and main dish which ranged from omelettes to waffles to bagels and no matter what it was it was delicious. Tom and Dana were great as well. If you want to know where any live music is any particular night, be sure and ask Tom in the... More

Our third trip to New Orleans and we decided this time to not stay at a large hotel in the French Quarter. A great decision as the B&W Courtyard B&B was the perfect choice and did not disappoint. From the first contact with the proprietors, Tom and Dana, the service provided was personable, efficient and overall A1. The property was... More

We stayed here 4 nights and loved it. First an excellent location, 10 mins to Frenchman Street and a lovely quaint area of town and quiet. The B&B itself has a lovely private courtyard area to sit and relax. The owners Tom and Dana are great hosts, they kindly offered us a ground floor room after the one we originally... More

We stayed for a week, and our stay here was delightful. Close enough to music and fun, but tucked away on a quiet street, it was a lovely place to stay. Room appointments were quite nice, outdoor courtyards were lovely and a welcome respite after a busy, tiring day. Morning breakfast and conversation was tasty :) Best part - hosts... More

Surprised my husband with a 3 day explore in New Orleans for his 71st Bday. Chose to stay at B&W Courtyards because of its great reviews and proximity to the music clubs on Frenchman's Street, the French Quarter and Market, and the charm of the property and neighborhood itself. We left our car parked (with no worries) and navigated all... More

charming, peaceful, historic, full of character and whimsy, with lovely gardens and fountains in the courtyards, you feel at once at home, and yet far away in the local culture and history. Tom and Dana are great hosts, home cooked breakfasts are delicious, the property is we'll taken care of and clean. The location is wonderful for walking and exploring,... More

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
