Just checked out of this hotel. Everything was great. Checked in though my Hiltons App and being that I am a Dimond Member, I was upgraded to a suite. The rooms was great. Everyone was polite that I interacted with but that is limited due to Covid. But that's everywhere now. Don't forget to check out the rooftop restaurant and bar. The drinks and the views are amazing.
The sheets and pillow had hair on the base of the bed bottom sheet, hair on the bathroom floor. When we made reservation the person said we have taken extra measures to have a sanitized / clean room hotel "Hilton " is lying . Spoke with desk agent for GM he never responded Cleary the leadership is the problem.
I was excited to stay here but quickly went away. They have no signs explaining where you should park but I would advise not to use the parking garage (very creepy. I parked across the street but parking was $25 for 24 hours which they do not tell you when looking for a hotel. Staff seemed friendly. Use of the elevator is not fun as they don't explain to you how it only works with your room card which the digital key doesn't work anywhere but your room. I was going to head to my room and I entered the elevator with another person and she quickly made weird noises and shoed me out of the elevator and the hotel staff who was right there said nothing to defend me as a paying guest. I had to wait for the next one. Found out she works at the rooftop bar. Extremely rude. Went to the rooftop bar for some food and had a cheeseburger and 1 drink and my bill was $43. Out of all the Hilton properties I have stayed at, this was my worst experience.…
I have to say that I was very disappointed in this hotel. Maybe I didn't do my research but I was expecting more. The parking garage was probably the scariest place I have ever been so I decided to not leave my car there. There was no valet. The front desk was blocked off I guess due to Covid-19 and the dining room was closed. There was no breakfast or snacks availabile in the hotel but a bar on the top of the hotel served cocktails and food. The only problem was that it catered to locals (young crowd) and when I checked in I was told we wouldn't be able to get in because of previously made reservations. So we were stuck in a hotel with no food or parking! It was all very strange for a hotel that was supposed to be full service.
THE GOOD There is so much good about this hotel. The lobby staff is great. Richard was wonderful in answering questions and solving my minor problem. The lobby women's restroom was exceptionally nice. My (small boutique style) room was very clean, nicely decorated, well stocked, and comfortable. Thank you to housekeeping. The sunset view from the rooftop Monkey Board was wonderful. Shoutout to #1 James for your hard work, patience and making our visit that much more special. The food is expensive but it was tasty. The location is great. A few blocks from Canal St, Public Transportation and the French Quarter. THE BAD The front door is hit or miss getting in with the key card. Confusing. No Valet Parking. THE UGLY That parking garage. WTH Arrived at night and the designated 2nd floor parking was not only full but dark (not one light). No lights or signs directing how to get through to the hotel. Pay $15 to park across the street. Worth it. That's it!!! Wonderful stay.…
