I have to say that I was very disappointed in this hotel. Maybe I didn't do my research but I was expecting more. The parking garage was probably the scariest place I have ever been so I decided to not leave my car there. There was no valet. The front desk was blocked off I guess due to Covid-19 and the dining room was closed. There was no breakfast or snacks availabile in the hotel but a bar on the top of the hotel served cocktails and food. The only problem was that it catered to locals (young crowd) and when I checked in I was told we wouldn't be able to get in because of previously made reservations. So we were stuck in a hotel with no food or parking! It was all very strange for a hotel that was supposed to be full service.

Hotel's Favorite
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Troubadour which joined the NOLA hotel district in December 2016. This chic boutique hotel has a cute rooftop bar, called The Monkey Board they have a nice happy hour with a chill vibe and panoramic views of the city and sometimes they have live music. There is also a gourmet restaurant inside the Troubadour! My check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly. I found the eclectic decor of the rooms to be my favorite attribute of the rooms. They were decorated so uniquely beautiful and it was just dope to me. Most rooms have a small living area, well-curated art, and local books, a minibar of local NOLA delights, and a small cute cocktail-making bar set. I felt as if I was staying in a studio apartment, more than a hotel room. The lovely modern bathroom tile was the most unique tile I've ever seen in a hotel bathroom. They supplied Jonathan Adler beauty products in the bathroom. The Troubadour is centrally located and you can easily walk to the St. Charles or Canal St., as well as to the Streetcar to head Uptown or towards City Park. It’s a short walk to the riverfront, Canal St., or the French Quarter and the Convention Center. Another favorite thing that I loved about the Troubadour is that it was next to the Pythian Market located at 234 Loyola Ave. Pythian Market is an urban food collective celebrating New Orleans’ undeniable spirit and the Pythian Building’s remarkable history. I went there numerous times for dinner and loved the Vendor named Meribo Pizza! Their fresh-made personal pizzas were delicious and they made the BEST brussels sprouts that I ever tasted!!! In addition to delicious pizza, the vendors in the Market also sell Breakfast, coffee. tea. seafood, Poke, Sushi, Caribbean dishes, Vietnamese, Vegetarian & Vegan Options, Gluten-Free Options, Soul Food, Venezuelan-Inspired Street Food, Tacos and there is also a Full Bar sells cocktails, beer, and mixed drinks. It's worth checking out if you stay at the wonderful Troubadour Hotel New Orleans, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in New Orleans, LA! I would definitely stay there again.

THE GOOD There is so much good about this hotel. The lobby staff is great. Richard was wonderful in answering questions and solving my minor problem. The lobby women's restroom was exceptionally nice. My (small boutique style) room was very clean, nicely decorated, well stocked, and comfortable. Thank you to housekeeping. The sunset view from the rooftop Monkey Board was wonderful. Shoutout to #1 James for your hard work, patience and making our visit that much more special. The food is expensive but it was tasty. The location is great. A few blocks from Canal St, Public Transportation and the French Quarter. THE BAD The front door is hit or miss getting in with the key card. Confusing. No Valet Parking. THE UGLY That parking garage. WTH Arrived at night and the designated 2nd floor parking was not only full but dark (not one light). No lights or signs directing how to get through to the hotel. Pay $15 to park across the street. Worth it. That's it!!! Wonderful stay.

We ended up going to New Orleans for my sister's birthday this year and we had so much fun. We stayed at The Troubadour and it was our first time at a Troubadour hotel. We thought it was pretty good. We loved that our room had a tub big enough to do bath bombs and relax in. The staff were friendly and helpful when we had questions. The room had a bit of a funk smell to it but we only noticed it sometimes. The room was a corner room and two of the walls were mostly windows so we could see a lot of the surrounding buildings which was nice but it was a little loud when it got windy.

We checked in on July 27th for our 4 night stay. Richard at the front desk was most helpful giving us tips on what to do throughout our stay. It was our honeymoon so they upgraded us to a city view room which even though was a very nice room it was a little small for our liking. There was a banging noise that persisted until around 1:30 am when we returned to our room. We called down to the front desk and the night auditor (i'm sorry I am spacing on her name) was very helpful she sent her manager Warren up with new keys to another room. That was room 214. This room was beautiful I believe they would describe it as a sort of King Studio. Most importantly there was no banging and my husband and I were able to enjoy the spacious room. Richard was able to get us set up on an Airboat Adventures Ride (which I will review separately.) That was awesome that they provided that service so we didn't have to worry about a thing. In addition to moving our room they also gave us a bar credit to their rooftop bar that has an amazing view of the city. Their drinks are pretty good as well if you are looking for a place to relax. There was no food and beverage downstairs due to Covid so I can not review that. There is also no little shop from what we can tell, to purchase small midnight snacks but there is a convenience store within walking distance that has everything that you might need. Overall a truly wonderful stay! I would highly recommend this place when traveling to NOLA.
