We did not stay at the resort, only visited the hot springs on a quad adventure. The hot springs were amazing and the farm it sits on is just lovely. You would never guess what beautiful springs sit along the ravine of the river. Loved our visit. The temperature was great and varies depending on what you wanted. We were... More

We recently visited Termales del Bosque for our second time. It is a very quiet, unassuming resort with accommodating staff and off of the beaten track. During our visits most of the clientele have been mainly Ticos with very few foreigners. We absolutely love the uniqueness of the hot springs tucked away in the forest along a river. Friendly staff... More

We spend one day, but definitely we will get back soon. The rooms are comfortable, the food is delicious, waitress really take care about what you want. Take you time to ask for a massage, you will be in the middle of the jungle listen to the jungle sounds and really will be relaxed once the session has been finished,... More

Termales del Bosque is an authentic family-run lodge that offers spectacular and beautiful natural hot springs in a rainforest environment. It is much nicer and much quiet than the hot springs in La Fortuna, and the hotel is also much cheaper. Tamales del Bosque still is a farm in many ways, with horses and cattle. It is very peaceful and... More

The hotel was a recommendation by the owner of the Catarata del Toro (also recommenable). The rooms are OK, but the hot springs are very beautiful and relaxing. We booked a package including dinner and breakfast, both meals were good. The next morning we booked horseback riding, a nice 1 hour trip through the backland. The girls on the reception... More

Let me start with all the positive aspects of this hotel: the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was of good quality (better than some of the meals with had at more upscale accommodations in Costa Rica), and the rooms are air-conditioned and clean. We had a problem with our air conditioner and a staff member immediately came... More

Despite being just off a busy highway, Termales del Bosque was a very quiet respite. The rooms are basic but more than adequate and very clean. The grounds are lovely and we constantly saw gardeners working very hard to keep them that way. The restaurant was very pleasant with the friendliest staff and good food at breakfast (included with room)... More

AAA Tours booked the hot springs. We didn't stay at the hotel. If you want large crowds and tons of people, go to the other hot springs on the way to La Fortuna. This place is quiet and surrounded by nature. We went late afternoon and there were only 8 people including us. Hubby and I sat in the hottest... More

La razón principal del lugar es lograr el buen descanso y relajación. Si se quiere esperar más, como actividades varias, no es el lugar indicado. Los servicios en general son excelentes, en resumen se obtiene lo que se espera por el precio que uno paga. / The place is mainly intended for achieving some real good rest and relaxation. Should... Went on two different occasions and was very pleased with the hot springs, nothing fancy but well done, there are pools with different temperatures in a very natural setting. A big plus is that is never crowded!
