Location - the good - easy walking to capitol, U of WI and State St. The bad is that it is located among college housing. Was woke up twice in the night by students yelling. Property - feels newly renovated, well decorated, good bed, nice pillows. However, room was small. Wife and I kept bumping into each other. The room... More

The decor and comfort was perfect. Loved the College theme. It was a tight squeeze from the parking to the bathroom. Location to state street could NOT be any better! No view from room but rooftop was nice. Madison Blind restaurant on 7th floor was modern and quoint. Didn't eat there, but had some nice cocktails. Would definitely stay again.

I begin by noting that my wife and I were paying about $250 per night for a junior suite- not an inexpensive price point for a hotel in Madison. The hotel seems designed to a three star quality standard, with its main appeal being location: it is very centrally located within the University of Wisconsin campus area. Our central issue... I had given this a top rating based on my first stay, calling it the "best kept secret". Our experience since then has been disappointing. The location is still wonderful, as is the concept, so two points for that, but the place is already getting a bit shabby and more importantly the service, particularly the front desk, has become aloof... The whole concept of this hotel is great. The atmosphere is great in the lobby - however the "atmosphere" shouldn't travel up the elevator in to your room. Twice I had to check to see if our room window was open I could so clearly hear the family next door. Also - while the front desk staff was very nice... More

If you want to be next to State Street, UW campus and Greek houses, and your child goes to UW, then this hotel is perfect for you. Otherwise, stay somewhere else. Rooms were okay. Very very small. The staff at this hotel really knows how to treat their guests. We had a small snag at check in and the manager went above and beyond to make us happy. Location is great and rooms are acceptable for a college town. I would definitely stay here again.

What a gem in downtown Madison. I can't say enough about the decor and the attention to detail. Your room key looks like a Student ID. Your room looks like it could be a college dorm but way cooler and more comfortable. They are not spacious. At least the room I had and the bathroom would've been cramped if I... More

Nice decor and atmosphere. How I would envision a dorm room redecorated by the Dead Poet's Society. Uber preppy and collegiate-esque circa 1950's. Very clean and good location to the university. Would stay here again
