I've stayed at a lot of hotels but none have made me feel like I'm about to go on an impromptu ghost adventure quite like Hotel Ruby Marie. And I mean that in the most positive way possible. They even embrace it in the decor a little bit. It's fun. It looks immaculately restored from 150 years ago which gives... More

The hotel is an old railroad hotel it is been converted to a boutique hotel with about 20 rooms. It's it's a top several businesses that share space and very convenient for dining. It is also extremely convenient to downtown and to the lake. Each room is different and has a different view. We stayed in the largest room 23... More

Hotel Ruby is really not your typical B&B, it's more of a hotel even though it's advertised as a B&B. Our breakfast was in a restaurant next door and we were allowed to order anything off the menu. We had a nice lakeview room. Free convenient parking. Able to walk to numerous restaurants and bars.

We wanted to be close to the Overture Center. We were so happy to find this. We had a room full of antiques. It is close to the lakefront and Capitol. There are plenty of restaurants to chose from. They do provide a continental breakfast with fresh bakery goods. Great coffee!

A hotel in the heart of Madison that is as inviting as it is affordable. As romantic as a Bed & Breakfast, with more privacy and luxury. The rooms are individually decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable, and the hotel is quiet-so once in your room you wont be distracted by the bustle outside. Free parking right outside the door. Complimentary... More

My wife and I were there for three nights over valantines weekend and the coldest days of the winter. Great location, a fun bar in the hotel and you get free drink tickets with your stay. A band there pretty much every night. Comes with breakfast as well. Room was great- (#13) has a fireplace. Room didn't warm up much... More

Our stay at the historic Hotel Ruby Marie in Madison, WI was a fantastic experience all around. The staff, location, and accommodations were ideal. The most striking feature of this hotel is the atmosphere. The Hotel Ruby Marie is a a beautifully maintained 150 year old building, and the history is palpable. From the lobby, through the corridors, to the... More

Had another great time at the Ruby Marie. Built in the 1800's, it has style and character you won't find many places. It's not for those who like chain hotels, as it has a bed and breakfast feel--but with a very cool dive bar with live music on the first floor attached. Can't imagine a better setup if you were... The hotel is in a great area, it has pretty much everything you need around it. It was very clean and the staff was outstanding. I've never stay at anything like it, and would do it again! Thank you all for a great night!

Beautiful hotel, with a helpful and friendly staff, spacious room, and 3 bars/restaurants on the same block. 2/3 of the bars feature live music, as well! There was also a very good Vietnamese restaurant across the street that was delicious! Lots of shopping right down the street as well! Only problem with my stay here, was that it wasn't long...
