I have no complaints about the hotel room. It's what is to be expected; clean, etc. I liked the 12pm checkout time. I don't, however, think it's worth the money. I almost paid the same amount as I paid staying in a 1 bedroom suite at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. I don't believe there's anything that makes this hotel special. Also, the parking garage should be free to guests--not $19 a night, as the only other option is paid street parking.

My wife and I stayed here on a Friday night recently, and we chose this property for it's location as well as the usual quality that we associate with Hilton hotels. Since we were there to spend time at eateries and the farmer's market, it was in the perfect location to do all we wanted, and we didn't use our car from when we arrived to when we departed to head back to Chicago. The hotel is right off the lake adjacent to the convention center, and about 3-4 blocks from Capital Square. We "broke in" our visit with an evening run along the lakefront, then walked up to the square for dinner and drinks. The next morning we walked to the convention center to shop at the farmer's market (winter is inside, summer is on the square), and there is even an enclosed walkway between the hotel lobby and the convention center - how boss is that? The staff at the front desk was great, our room was very spacious and cozy, and the lobby was welcoming too. I'll definitely stay here if I have an overnighter in Madison again, thanks hotel people!

The room was beautiful and clean! I love the sticker on the door that showed the housekeeper had sanitized the room. I loved the internet choices on the television. The warm and welcoming evening staff at the front desk was the very best. I was able to stay at this hotel four times this month and I really enjoyed every stay. Thank you so much for such an amazing experience.

My husband and I booked a room for the weekend of July 4th. We always stay in Hilton hotels and are Hilton Honors members. As suggested in the emails I received from Hilton (and to help maintain everyone’s safety) we checked in through the app the night before and requested a digital key so that we didn’t have to stop at the front desk. We also picked our room and told them when we planned to arrive, as is normal per app check in. On our way to the hotel, we picked up dinner from a local restaurant and drove to the hotel, ready to head up to the room to eat. We walk past the front desk, go up to our floor and my digital key doesn’t work. I head down to the desk. There is one person working at the desk so I have to wait my turn. I told the kid I had checked in thru the app and my digital key didn’t work and first he asked that I demonstrate with my phone how I tried to open the door. He asked multiple times for details about what the key thing did (it flashed yellow.) He issued me a keycard. I headed back upstairs. Keycard doesn’t work. Same flashing yellow as before. We tried several times. I head back down to the desk. There is still just one person working, so I have to wait my turn. When I get up there, the same kid asks me to demonstrate how I used the keycard and what exactly happened. He takes my keys and recodes then or whatever and sends me back upstairs. Keycard still doesn’t work. I head downstairs. There is still one person working so I have to wait my turn. When I get up there, the kid once again asks me if I know how to use the keycard and asks again what happens when I hold the keycard up. He wants to see my keys and recode them again. I protest. This course of action isn’t working. He insists. Keycard still doesn’t work. I head downstairs. There is now another person there-perhaps a manager? He walks past me in line as he returns luggage carts and then proceeds to clean the coffee maker (that is closed off and not available for the people staying at the hotel per COVID). He sees me waiting. The kid at the desk sees the Manager. I wait my turn in line. For 10 minutes. Keep in mind this is my fourth trip to the desk, each time waiting at least 5 minutes. This time when I get up there, I kind of loose my cool. No yelling but I definitely said that I was frustrated, that my dinner was now cold, that I had done everything they had suggested in their emails to me and that I just want in my room. The kid says he can switch me to a different room. I say that’s fine as long as it is on the same floor on the same side with a king bed (we had paid extra for a lake view). He didn’t think he could do that. At this point, the manager finally comes over and asks if he can just let me in the room and they can work on the lock while we eat. YES! YES! Please do this. As he heads upstairs with me, he once again questions if I know how to use a keycard/digital key and scolds me for not having any patience. He used “the new COVID regulations” as an excuse but that doesn’t really apply. But he did get us in our room to eat our cold dinner, so there is that. They eventually fix our key situation (3 different people/teams of people came to our door trying different things, asking us the same questions each time.) The hotel is nice-like most Hilton hotels. view and location are unbeatable. Service wasn’t the best. COVID or not, you should have keys/locks that work. Four trips to the front desk is ridiculous, not to mention 4x more contact with the desk than I wanted to have because of COVID.

Room was clean, everything was in working order. Breakfast area poorly designed. No Self serve coffee station. Had to flag down overworked staff to get coffee. And then they had to fetch cream. Should have area with coffee available to guests along with silverware, napkins, etc.

For busy weekend morning breakfasts your suggestion of a coffee station is an excellent one. We will look at implementing that for sure. I'm sorry it appeared the staff was overworked. I will have to look into what may have happened there, as this is not typical for us. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas. Hopefully the rest of your visit was good. Please give us another try as we would appreciate another opportunity to show you our true hospitality.
