This hotel has a great location (we were there for the Madison Marathon) - rooms are nice, staff is friendly, and parking is easy. Starbucks is connected. Pool area and workout facilities were also way more than expected. We had great service checking in/checking out. Only concern was some street traffic - but it’s a downtown hotel (and it was a home football game). Better than a chain hotel.

Our family took advantage of the family movie night offered during COVID. The hotel offered us our own private movie viewing via a projector in a meeting room. We enjoyed pizza, popcorn, and drinks while relaxing in front of a big screen. We really enjoyed the other aspects of the Concourse as well. The hotel offered nice, clean rooms and the location in downtown Madison gives you the options of enjoying restaurants and shops downtown and enjoying one of the many bike trails and lake shores nearby. We also enjoyed to pool, game room, and breakfast at Circ. We look forward to our next stay at this hotel!

We had the opportunity to getaway to Madison for a few days and decided to stay at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club. We stayed on the 12th floor giving us direct access to the Governor’s Club lounge, which we would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this location. Not only was this location convenient to all of the State Street activities, it provided fantastic views of the Capital building as it was directly across the street from the hotel. The bonus of having access to the Governor’s Club Lounge was that not only did it provide great views of the Capital, it also provided us with free Continental Breakfast as well as unlimited nighttime appetizers and cocktails, again all included in the room rate. The hotel facilities were very well kept and the entire staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay here again when we return to downtown Madison and would absolutely recommend others consider the same-make sure to choose staying on the Governor’s Club level rooms to get the best value and views for your stay!

Each year my husband and I stay 1 or 2 nights in downtown Madison to celebrate our wedding anniversary (typically we go during December just before the New Year). With COVID however we were unable to stay during 2020 and so we made a special trip to stay at the Concourse in June 2021.

We have chosen The Concourse for our anniversary for several years now and each year even though there are multiple hotel options in downtown Madison we always go back to The Concourse and for many good reasons...the hotel, the staff, the service, the amenities, the value and how staff make guests feel special.

We always book a governor's club room and this year we booked a king room with the airtub. The room was exceptionally clean and amenities were well stocked (Aveda, bath salts etc.) We appreciated just how clean the hotel was and that the hotel prides itself on providing a safe environment for guests. The airtub is awesome!

I cannot say enough about the value of the governor's club. The service is impeccable and staff there are always very friendly. The bartender is smiling and ready to make your favorite cocktail! We always meet other couples too that are staying there and have interesting conversations with them. On this last visit they even offered some live entertainment which was super fun! The evening hor d'oeuvres and later night desserts are fabulous too. Breakfast is also very good with scrambled eggs, bacon, french toast, breads, coffee, juices, and so much more!

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with lots of great amenities and just a short walk to so many attractions, shops, restaurants and bars in downtown Madison. I would highly recommend staying at The Concourse Governor's Club.

I've had the good fortune to stay at the Concourse several times over the past decade. It remains one of my favorite hotels anywhere in the country. The Concourse is in the middle of everything in downtown Madison. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, restaurants, shops, the capitol, and so much more are all in easy walking distance. The staff here is always friendly and welcoming. On my most recent stay I was impressed with the cleanliness of my room. It's always good, but given COVID and pandemic cleaning requirements things were spotless. Seeing a seal on the door noting the room had been sanitized was a nice touch to reassure me as a guest. I opted for room service rather than venturing out to sit in restaurants on this trip. Each order was at my door within 15 minutes and the food was great quality and delicious. The Concourse is a fantastic hotel. I highly recommend it.

This is the best hotel I have stayed in. I called ahead to asked if there was a microwave in the room and the front desk lady said no, but for $10 extra she would put one in. She was very nice. Check in went smooth and I didn't have to wait long at all. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are very well kept and the linens are soft and clean. I didn't have my room serviced the 3 nights we stayed so I just asked housekeeping for new garbage bags and she was very, very nice. We were very comfortable sleeping and showering because it was soooo clean. We were there for a basketball tournament and there were lots of teens in hall, (mine included) and the staff was very nice to them, just reminding them to not run and to keep their voices respectful. The room is well insulated and I din't hear any noise in the hall. Check out went quick and easy. I did have a problem with my bill as my friend booked it with hers and my card was missed being charged and it was all put on her bill, but I called the hotel and talked to accounting and they cleared it up imediatley. We go to Madison every year for the boys state basketball tournament and we will be staying at the Concourse from now on. EXCELLENT!!! Thank you to ALL the staff.

Booked by our host as members of a wedding party, we were delighted with our accommodations. Our fully accessible room provided us with every comfort to manage a stay involving a walker, transport chair, and personal hygiene needs. The one meal we enjoyed in the hotel restaurant, Circ, was excellent and service throughout the hotel was, too.

I stayed at the top level, Governors Club where you have free breakfast served as well as free bar in the evening with a beautiful view of the Capitol. I hadn’t been to this hotel for 10 years, and things have improved... new carpets, good quality tiles in certain areas. Nice pool and whirlpool.

Spent 3 nights at the Concourse for a girls weekend with friends… we were supposed to be in Austin but the ice storm forced us to reschedule and we decided on a long weekend in Madison as consolation. Service was incredibly friendly from start to finish! I arrived an hour early and my room was ready, check-in was quick and the girl at the front desk was great. There is underground parking below the hotel which was convenient and you can add that $15/night charge right onto your room. We did not eat on property, but there is a restaurant, bar, Starbucks and small convenience store for snacks, drinks, and anything you may have forgotten. I did notice that the restaurant was closed occasionally with a sign saying they were serving food in the bar, so it appears it had limited hours.

Our double queen room was clean, a little dated, but comfortable overall. It was great having the mini fridge in the room but would have been nice to have a microwave (we were told there is one for community use on the 3rd floor). Nice bath products provided and housekeeping is every other day. Covid protocols were enforced and you do have to wear a mask in all common areas (we found this to be strictly enforced throughout Madison as a whole).

The hotel is in the ideal location- walkable to everything downtown and right across from the Capital. I would stay here again and it was a great value for the rate I paid.

Just got back from a great 4 night stay in Madison. We stayed in a Governor's Club Air Tub room and felt it was well worth the upgrade with the food and beverage options included. As with anything during Covid, things were a little different but they are making the best of it. The Governor's club was only staffed on Friday and Saturday. All other days we had to call a number to get food and drinks in the afternoon/evening either delivered to our room or the Club, but they always arrived in a timely manner. Instead of breakfast in the Governor's Club, they are currently doing room service breakfast and it always arrived hot. Wanted to give a shout out to Louis in the Governor's Club for his friendly service!
