We had a wonderful stay with great service and attention to detail. The reservation staff went above an beyond to make sure our needs were met. We loved the lake view and beautiful hotel amenities. I wish we would have known more about the available spa services earlier, so we could have taken advantage of them.

First trip to Madison for an overnight work meeting. Edgewater is beautiful! The views of the lake were stunning. The service was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Food at the Statehouse was really good as well.

Service, staff, location and facility were excellent. It is a beautiful facility with a beautiful view and all the details of the wedding were well attended to by staff. It was relaxing and great fun. I would definitely come back again!

Staff just does not care to meet customer needs even basic at that. Be prepared to take care of the simplest of things. Also, make sure to place do not disturb or housekeeping will be at your door all morning

Love this place. Great Location, Bar, Views, Food and Staff. Close to everything in the city. We have stayed multiple times since our son began his college career at Wisconsin. When it's off season the Edgewater is a good deal, however, during peak season it can get very expensive. The Staff is very friendly and the bar is an excellent meeting point.

Very disappointed in a supposedly "high end" hotel. We have stayed at similarly priced hotels in Chicago, London, Seattle, and Vancouver. We opted for a Premium Lakefront King. The room, bath, and view were ok, however, the room was large, but just basic: bed, and a desk with chair. There was no arm chair or table. The bath had no grab bars for the shower or bath tub. The TV station selection was minimal, and several of the listed channels were "blank". At $824 for two nights, plus another $100 for parking and "resort fees", just not worth it!

This was a very special trip. A mom and daughter celebrating a big birthday after waiting a long time to be able to fit this trip in. I wanted it to be over and above just a room. I mentioned this when I called to book. I picked a Lake View queen with a terrace. We got a room that had a view of a building. We had to go out on the terrace and lean over the railing to see a bit of the lake. I knew it was a risk booking a terrace for early March and I don't blame them for it being too cold to sit out. However, if we had an actual view of the lake, we might have had coffee out there at least. I feel deceived by the picture I saw of the type of room I booked vs. the room we got. If I knew how to attach pictures, I would. I rated service higher thanks to the engineer who helped us with the TV both days in a pleasant and expedient manner. …

Both the hotel and restaurant delivered outstanding service. The food in the Stateroom was excellent. When we first arrived the room was not ready so the manager offered to have us wait in the bar with a complimentary cocktail. When we got to our room it was perfect. A great view of the lake and very spacious. We had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent.
