We came to Hot Springs for a weekend getaway. Due to a misunderstanding, our original room was canceled and we found ourselves room-less at around 6pm on Friday evening. We quickly got online to search for hotels and Panther Valley Ranch popped up. We had never heard of it but it sounded intriguing. Thankfully, the Oak Suite was available and we got to go right then. So glad we found it! It is a beautiful property that’s close enough to town but definitely gives the secluded feel. The room was adorable and had everything you would need. We are already talking about coming back soon with our family! We would definitely recommend!

Wonderful property for a weekend getaway. We visited right after Christmas and stayed in the Victory Suite. We would definitely return. The location is very convenient to town and attractions. Our suite was fantastic: clean, comfortable, and very private. The grounds were very well kept.
We wanted to enjoy a trip during Covid restrictions that would not be too impacted by the necessary precautions. This was it. The ranch is naturally conducive to social distancing, and we had a contact free check in and out process. We could enjoy our stay without risk and without a constant reminder of Covid, since masks weren’t an issue with plenty of room to roam. Though interaction with the hosts was brief due to the contact free process, everything was great. They’ve prepared the rooms perfectly, thinking of everything right down to stacked firewood for the fireplace. This was the best of both worlds - a condo or cabin type accommodation, with hotel level service. We didn’t have to do a thing.
One word about the horses: do not open the back door unless you have treats. They are not amused. Stop for a bag of carrots before you check in. After atoning with snacks for annoying them by coming empty handed, we were all friends again.
There is plenty to do on property if you’re looking for quiet, unplugged activity. If you get tired of that, it’s an easy 10 min or less drive into historic downtown. We liked that we could easily go out for lunch or dinner rather than trying to buy groceries and cook for our short stay.
Our first visit, but won’t be our last!

We actually had a cruise booked, which was cancelled because of covid.
We searched for a place we too. could drive to town and sightsee if we chose to, but also where we could relax away from large crowds, as well. I'm so glad we chose this place! We stayed in the Victory Suite. It was exceptionally clean(smelled great), and cozy. They had firewood available for the wood burning fireplace, which we used every night. We enjoyed the large bathtub, which can easily accommodate a large person (something i worried about before arrival). There isn't a separate stand up shower, but the tub did have a removable shower head to use.
We loved having coffee on the back patio every morning (coffee pot AND kcup style coffee available) and having the horses meet us just over the fence. We also saw several deer from the patio. The bed and sheets were VERY comfortable. We slept wonderfully every night. There was no cell service, but the wifi worked great. We never had an issue getting in touch with someone if we needed to. They also had satellite TV in the living room and bedroom.
We enjoyed walking to the pond, sitting at the large wooden swing, and walking out on the pier to fish. We look forward to returning to this beautiful place with our whole family, and would confidently recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I stayed in the Homestead cabin July 12-16. Our granddaughter stayed in the Cowboy cabin adjacent to ours. This was one of the worst vacation locations I have ever had. When we got to the Homestead cabin my husband was looking through the drawers and there was a mouse alive. The inside of the cabinets and counters were dirty. We went to Walmart that night and bought a big storage container to store the food that we bought so the mouse wouldn’t find it. We also bought plastic plates, cups and silverware because we didn’t want to use what was in the dirty cabinets. A lady did come by to bring towels to another cabin and my husband spoke with her about the mouse. She sprinkled something in the drawer and said the mouse would eat it and die. On the morning that we left, the mouse was still in the drawer alive and well. If that wasn’t enough, the Cowboy cabin had ants in the bathtub and they were crawling out of the Jacuzzi holes. When my granddaughter went to bed she found a bug crawling on the floor next to the bed. The TV did not work in the Homestead cabin. I followed the directions exactly as they were laid out. The coffee maker in one of the cabinets took forever to brew just one cup. We had to get the one in the Cowboy cabin. Also, the back of one of the dining room chairs fell off. I never could get internet reception on my phone. I had to walk down the road. If all of this wasn’t enough, when I was eating my breakfast the morning that we left, a bug crawled on the table above my plate. The pictures on the website make it look like it’s a really nice place but in my opinion, it’s far from it. The cabins are old, dirty and they need work. The website talks about the swing overlooking the lake, but it’s falling apart. The construction around our cabins was anything but peaceful. I realize the construction was not the owner’s fault but they could’ve at least told us about it prior to booking the cabins. We would leave during the day but dread coming back to our cabins, not knowing what we would find next. I realize that the cabins should have the “rustic” look but they shouldn’t be dirty and have mice and bugs. We will never be back.

Please note all the other reviews - this review is an anomoly. We encourage travelers to take the whole of a property's reviews into account when judging it. If most other reviews are positive, travelers are likely to see this negative review as a mere aberration. Had the Suite inspection results indicated a problem our many repeat guests know that we would address it immediately.

Wow, just returned from our #6 stay at PVR. I wrote in 2019 that PVR just keeps getting better. Well, more surprises this year with some really nice additions. Our favored cabin, The Oak, had a remodeled bathroom with new Jacuzzi tub and we welcomed the larger TV with its new option to movie providers such as Netflix. WiFi had also been updated with a cell calling ability, something very convenient for this mountain location that had suffered for limited cell service in the past. Other improvements were noted and appreciated to boost our satisfaction. As has been our practice, we're booked for a return.

For Valentines day my sweetheart and I stayed two days at the ranch in the Homestead Suite. It was a real take-back in time. The Suite has all the amenities you would want in a charming old world atmosphere. The suite has gas fireplaces, some have wood burning if you prefer. Yes, there is air-conditioning too. The bathroom was wonderful and has a corner Jacuzzi for your enjoyment. All the walls were made from real knotty pine boards, no paneling here. The ceiling was also made of knotty pine. The king size bed was quite comfortable and the place was adorned with all the Cowboy paraphernalia you could wish for. All the best restaurants Hot Springs has to offer is just minutes away .If you're looking for a real relaxing getaway with cowboy ranch surroundings, look no further.

We were on the road from out West and wanted a nice place to stop on a rainy night. It was absolutely gorgeous, the bed was super comfortable, and the two person hot tub was sparkling clean and well appointed with extra towels. Definitely intend to visit again.

The ShowMe Jeep club had a wheeling weekend amd rented out most the cabins at PVR. Even before arrival Roger was very helpful in helping me orchestrate a group cookout and bonfire on-site. When I got there the grounds are manicured and everything looked amazing from the first impression. Upon entering my cabin (Sawmill) amd later seeing other cabins I can say I’m impressed. They obviously take pride in their property. The pond and damn across the street is so peaceful. I plan on coming back in the fall to see the colors of nature and I will stay here if they have availability!

Panther Valley Ranch was a pleasant surprise. This out of the way cabin (we stayed in the Victory Suite) had all the amenities we could ask for, including a full kitchen with dining area and separate living room and bedroom. All were spacious and comfortable (especially the king size bed!) There was wifi access if you need TV or the internet although we enjoyed sitting in the swing and looking at the pond. You will need to use wifi calling if you need to contact anyone.

The only improvement we would suggest is a shower option for the Victory Suite. There is a great whirlpool tub but we would have liked to have a quicker option available for those days we were out and about.

My husband and I stayed at the Panther Valley Ranch for four days and it was wonderful! If you are looking to unplug and getaway it is perfect. We stayed in the Sawmill Suite, which was cozy and just what we were looking for. The owners were very accommodating, letting folks use fishing poles for the pond, providing firewood for the fire, etc. I would highly recommend if looking for a rustic getaway from everyday hustle and bustle.

I checked with the owner. There is a very small lake adjacent to the property with a few small fish, however in the area there is good fishing according to Roger. He would very likely be able to direct you.
