My husband and I built our log home and opened Knotty & Nice in Oct., 2008 as a bed & breakfast; however, we are created cabins and are no longer a bed & breakfast. We have 7 luxurious cabins in the mountains. Bungalow (1 bed-queen, 1 bath-tub-shower), Cabana (2 beds-king-queen, 1 bath-jacuzzi-shower), Nature (1bed-king, 1 bath-jacuzzi-shower), Overcliff (1 bed-king, 1 bath-lg walk-in shower), Rustic (1 bed-king, 1 bath-double jacuzzi-jetted shower), Sunrise (2 beds-king, 2 baths-jacuzzi-shower) & Timberland (3 beds-king-2 queen, 2 baths-jacuzzi-shower). All of our cabins have living room, full eat-in kitchens, private outdoor hot tubs with surround enclosures, bar-b-que grills, fire pits and sitting areas. Our customers are our business and we strive to satisfy our customers. Our cabins are continually updated, set up for your comfort, relaxation and enjoyment. It is like being home away from home. 5-15 miles of 3 different lakes, 8 miles from shopping, 13 miles from downtown.

As always , I will be back , all you have to do is go stay . Everything is the same as previous stays . Owners Karen and Arturo are just awesome hosts . I couldn’t ask for any better place or hospitality. It’s my favorite vacation spot . I’ll return.

The cabin was absolutely perfect for a couples getaway. We stayed there for our anniversary and it was super cute and clean. The owner was attentive and helpful. While its located close to the main cabin the back deck gives you a sense of privacy. The hot tub area is nice and secluded. We also cooked all our meals there and everything we needed was supplied in the kitchen.

Hubby and I went on a quick weekend getaway and we could not have asked for a better spot. From booking to check out the entire experience was amazing. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed and I especially liked that it did not have wi-fi. I was not excited about that at first but was literally just what I needed! We will be back and bring the whole family.

We stayed in the Over Cliff cabin. It’s small, but we weren’t bothered by the size of the cabin. However, it was a very cold weekend (Feb 13&14) and the kitchen and the bathroom was down right bitterly cold. When you stepped into that area there was a noticeable change in temperature. So cold that you shivered when you stepped on the tile floor. The toilet seat was miserably cold as well. It’s as if that side of the cabin had ZERO insulation. It was so cold while taking a shower. If you put the temp above 70 the kitchen and bathroom were still freezing. The cabin was furnished with everything you need. Keurig, toaster, cups, etc.... the cabin overall was clean. Absolutely no frills here. The cabin was just ok.

Cabin was fine. There wasn't nearly enough water for the path, and the show wasn't very good; however, it was comfortable and generally nice. The man that check us in though, set a bad tone for the whole trip. I believe his name is Art. My wife is visually impaired, and she has a guide dog. We informed them that she needed to bring her guide dog before we came. The first thing this man said to us when we got there was, "You don't have an ID for the dog." Maybe he was trying to ask a questions? Fine. I told him the dog had an ID tag, a photo ID, and paper work from the Guide Dogs of Texas. While we were getting the ID for him, out of nowhere he asks my wife what color her coat is. Her coat is white. It is not an unusual or hard to identify color. Why was he asking that? Later, when he showed us to the cabin, he was gesturing toward my wife as she got out of the car. Silently gesturing without making a sound. Why would he do that? He didn't gesture toward me. He then made a point to tell us that we picked the cabin with steps. The other cabins don't have steps, he said, but we picked this one. I when back and checked, steps are not mentioned in the descriptions of the cabins, so I'm not sure how I was suppose to know this. And why did it seem to matter so much? When he finally left, he stuck his hand out toward my wife without saying anything. I guess to see if she would see his hand and shake it. In short, I believe he he was trying to see if my wife was in fact visually impaired. He is lucky my wife doesn't want to report him for ADA violations. If not for Art, we probably would stay her again. It wasn't perfect, but it was nice enough. We don't need people like him in our lives though, so we will not stay here again.…

We randomly googled “cabins with hot tubs” and came across Knotty and Nice cabins in Hot Springs. We wanted to get away to somewhere we had never been for our anniversary. We found all of the relaxation we sought in our stay in the Nature Cabin. Perfect for a couple, and the covered hot tub was wonderful in the rain. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked steaks for our New Year’s Eve dinner. The shower had plenty of hot water and the king sized bed was very comfortable. Close to downtown where we enjoyed a traditional mineral bath (and massage!) at the historic Arlington Hotel. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at 501 Prime which rivaled every fine dining restaurant we’ve enjoyed throughout our travels. All in all, a fabulous private and romantic cabin near nice amenities. It was a wonderful stay. So beautiful and relaxing. Loved the hot tub. Didn't wanna leave. The cabin was gorgeous and cozy. Very clean and owner was very accommodating and nice. We will definitely stay again. We have told all our family and friends how great a time we had. Everything was provided. Just had to bring food and charcoal for grill. Crystal Whitaker Holcomb, MS.

My wife and I rented the small cabin from them for our 10th wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our time at the cabin, if was very clean and updated. It is removed from the city so it was quiet and beautiful. They did not have Wifi or cell service but they did notify you in advance. It actually turned out to be a blessing as we did not let ourselves get distracted from totally checking out and enjoying the time together. Can't recommend this place enough.
