I was suppose to head to Quy Nhon and stay at Crown Retreat for 2 nights. Due to an approaching typhoon off the coast, I decided to postpone my trip to Quy Nhon and I asked the hotel if I can shift my booking to a later date. I did not ask for a refund and neither did I wanted a refund as I was really looking forward to the stay. Even though the typhoon is not forecasted to hit Quy Nhon directly, nonetheless it still poses some threat. When I made the request to change the date of stay, Crown Retreat replied by saying "because typhoon will not be affected to Quy Nhon, policy of our resort and agoda don't support you to change the date". I also happen to be a Meteorology instructor so I know a thing or two about tropical revolving storms. The forecasted path is only a forecast, and with weather, nothing is certain and situations can change rapidly, which means there is a possibility that the storm could affect the area. It looks like their policy lacks the empathy and compassion to understand guest's concerns about safety, and the common sense to exercise flexibility given the situation. If they don't even think about my safety before my arrival, how can I trust them to think about my safety at their property? Thank you Crown Retreat for the eye-opener. I will definitely return to Quy Nhon, but I will not stay at your resort anymore. I'm better off going to somewhere I feel safe.

Me and my boyfriend had a great time and experience here at Crown Retreat. The staff were friendly, the food were nice. I rarely enjoy breakfast at any hotel yet I kinda love the breakfast here. They had really nice pho. I was lucky to have the bugalow with the best view in the resort. Imagine you woke up at 5:30AM seeing sunrise while you still laying on bed, how beautiful! The pool is also a nice place to swim and enjoy the sky view at the same time. If you're looking for a place to chill and have a great time with your partner or family then Crown Retreat is the best choice for you.

Visited twice, first in 2018 just a few months after they opened and then two years later in 2020. On my first visit I regretted only staying for a single night so the second time around I opted for a beachfront villa for 3 nights, which was well worth the extra expense. Overall Crown Retreat is a great value for the money, at ballpark $100/night starting this is a low-end resort price range, but this is hands down one of the best resorts I've been to in Vietnam if for no other reason than its special location at the northern end of the long sweeping Thung Luong beach, which is the best situated land in all of Qui Nhon. The views are expansive and the sea is sapphire blue. Another strong point is the rooms themselves which are smart, comfortable, and just enough to feel luxurious without being overly fancy. Then there is the pool which is the centerpiece feature of the resort and absolutely stunning. This resort is not without its weaknesses however, which are primarily around staff and hospitality. We made multiple requests that were denied, any one of which considered by itself is fair, but taken together indicate a lack of dedication to guest satisfaction: 1) room selection denied before arrival (later granted by manager), 2) request to refill water bottles denied, 3) ordering room service only five minutes after kitchen closed denied, 4) late checkout request denied. The Vietnamese staff are also generally robotic and not particularly warm. Overall it's possible to overlook, as the strong points really seal the deal for this place, and I'll happily return. Shout out to manager Kirill who is one of the most hands on and kind resort managers I've ever met, if only he could figure out how to get his attitude to trickle down to the rest of staff. One other thing: food. Resort food is adequate but not excellent. It's good enough but combined with the resort's isolation and lack of decent local food options, it will start to feel like a bit of a food "desert" after just a day or two and trips to Qui Nhon city may be necessary to satisfy cravings for more diverse options at a decent price, which is only possible if you have a motorbike. Hopefully better food options will become available in the future. The good: views, beach, rooms, pool, manager The not so good: staff hospitality, food, isolated

Had a great time here, not really big into resorts but the bunglow style rooms gave this resort a nice quaint feel unlike those highrise resort/hotels you see everywhere. They had a little golf cart service to take you from reception to your room and back uf you needed it. Friendly staff. Even though the place booked out the pool never felt too crowded, I think because theres the beach right there to swim in too. My only critique is there is No pool bar! Theres an area that looks like a bar thats not stocked or set up at all which I found a little annoying. You can still get drinks and food ordered from the main building, but its just a little annoying given theres a place for the bar but its yet to be set up.
