Although the rooms are basic and property itself is dated, the location is very good and the price is not too bad. The food offerings are limited but there are plenty of food options up and down the street. Internet only worked for me near the reception desk but my room was to the rear.

Complained about mouse poo. Manager said something would be done. Nothing was. The same incident happened. We left mid way through our stay. This seems to be a ongoing problem. Great beach and gardens. Managers friend attempted to chat up my female friend when I was away. Management (and friends of) should separate with guests in this area. Good location.... More

It was very disappointing experience to stay in Tsunami as we checked the reviews before hand. The owner of the hotel Nalim constantly was trying to sell us something, tuk-tuk, dinners, tours .. We couldn't even spend a minute in the hotel area without him bothering us. ( he didnt bother to approach us , apart from just shouting to... More

A bit dated cabanas, but location could not be better. Food too pricey and mediocre at best. Service is limited, and you have to make an effort to get served. The owner also a bit pushy, the day however very nice and helpful. Sadly the beach is filled with rubbish and also nails and broken glass - be careful when... More

We moved to the Tsunami Hotel from another hotel and stayed there for the nights. We were a bit concerned after reading the reviews on here but went ahead anyway as everywhere was full. The hotel really isn't as bad as people make out. Our room was big and well designed. Yes there were ants, but most of the places... More

Very nice location. Go there to drink a beer, but don't eat there. After waiting more than one hour and being only 2 tables occupied, we informed If there was a problem with our food. It appears our order wasn't gone through the kitchen. Can happen, no worries. BUT the food we did receive after 20minutes was of bad quality.... More

We eat here one lunch time whilst walking down the beach and really enjoyed the food although we did have to wait a long time once we ordered. We had a quick look at the rooms whilst we were here and would probably book the accommodation if we go to Arugambay again.

Set of 10 or so self-contained bungalows, with restaurant/cafeteria area in the center. Location - very good, right on the beach yet very close (1 minute walk) to the "main road" with shops and restaurants. Swimming area - the corner of the bay - 5 minutes walk on the beach, other hotels are closer to it, but if you don't... More

We moved the 60 metres from Arnes Place to the Tsunami hotel because Arnes was being extensively rebuilt. We had a beach bungalow equipped with all mod cons for about $30 a night. We were the only guests there so we ordered our food from the staff earlier in the afternoon to facilitate cooking. Tsunami hotel is right on the... More
