People are quite nice in this hotel but it doesn't help us to forget the dirtiest bathroom we saw in a 3* hotel in Sri Lanka! Furthermore our room had the view on gas station and weirdo guys could have a look while you have a shower throught the window without curtains... Don't book there!

We were staying at the lovely St Andrews hotel nearby and walked into the town to see the market and locals going about their everyday life, we bought some fresh spices from the local market. We stopped of at the Windsor Hotel for some drinks and a snack, we meet a charming employee called Johny Daniels who worked front of... More

Stayed for two nights as part of a tour out of season so maybe didn't catch this hotel at its best. Staff were helpful and friendly although none of the tour group had their rooms serviced while we were out. The rooms are basic but clean and spacious. Plenty of hot water but I think the towels I had were... More

It's located in the centre so there are quite a lot of noise coming in the room. Our windows are broken so it doesn't shut properly so the cold gets in in the evening. You can request a portable heater though for an extra price. Plumbing is not really good there as you don't get hot water all the time.... More

I'm writing this review even before i leave this hotel. I have been to different categories of hotels in my career, but this is the first time i heard about " not allowing visitors even if its an emergency ", one of my guy brought me some medicines, i wanted him to come up and give them, but the so... Ready for a break from local food for a mealr two we came here for some lunch. The restaurant was lovely, very old English stylee and warranted a few photos. We just had a couple of club sandwiches and chips but they were delicious and just what the doctor ordered. Our waiter on the day was absolutely lovely.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a group tour. The rooms were clean and cosy and had everything we needed however the bathrooms were very damp and there wasn't much ventilation. There was some mould on the bathroom walls as well. Good for a couple of nights only.

The worst thing about this hotel was the towels. Perhaps they are nylon - they don't dry they just redistribute the wetness. The second worst thing is how long does it take to toast a piece of bread? - perhaps 45 minutes is just too slow. The rooms are tired and in need of some fresh air. The whole place... More

The Windsor is in a great location but hasn't had any love for a long time. The power flicked on and off a few times so we were in complete darkness. The room was far from clean, no fridge, no tv and the hot water wasn't too flash. On the bright side the food was pretty good. We personally didn't... More
