We booked another hotel that said at the last minute that they had no room. We called King Fern and since they had no room, they found us a hotel in 10 minute at 8pm. They brought us there for free, it was a nice hotel also. We then went for dinner at King Fern and it was really good.... More

I stayed three nights on this cottage. Actually I left my mobile phone in the train at Nanoya station. Manager and guide Mr.Chanaka helped me so much. Mr.Chanaka taked me to the police station and explained and made document instead of me, because I can't speak SInhara. I felt lonely and miserable when I lost mobile phone. because I put... More

When arriving at the cottage, they told us that someone with the same name canceled their booking so they did not have a room for us anymore. Only a cheap and not appealing room which they normally don't sell I think. They told us that a friend of the same company had a room for us and they brought us... More

This guesthouse is really quirky and feels like you're sleeping in a treehouse and for that alone was worth a visit. Very reasonably priced too. We got two rooms in the guesthouse and one was perfect but the other was a little cold and felt a bit damp so make sure to bring a good pyjamas! The food was nice... More

This place is located on St. Andrews Road which is about 12-15 kilometers from the Nanu Oya station (the nearest train station to Nuwara Eliya). Their staff usually picks up people who have booked rooms in advance at the guest house. The place has a very relaxed vibe to it and the interiors are quite well done up. The seating... More

What a lucky find. We absolutely loved our stay at King Fern - beautiful glass/wooden/leafy hidden away gem. It was particularly cold during our stay but the roaring fire in the evening and thick blankets on our beds meant that we were not bothered. Only a two-to-five minutes walk away from the town center although the hotel offers everything you... More

We stayed for two nights here. They have a car which can pick you up from the train station which is helpful. Room was comfortable with a nice bathroom (hot water too). The bed was extra large which was nice and comfortable. The room cost 3500 Rs which is just the same as the room for 4000 Rs (except it... More

A cool place to stay in for a couple of nights, great wooden decor, chill out atmosphere and reagge music. Loads of plants everywhere and a terrace overlooking a stream. No heating though, so it can get quite chilly at night ;]

We were so happy with our stay at King Fern. The place is so beautifully designed and it has a real fairytale feel to it..complete with magic gardens and stunning wooden furniture. They picked us up from train station, 7km away, at no extra cost, and constantly made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The best day... More

We stayed for three nights, the room we were in was just above the reading room with the floor door. This room for us was damp as hell, when you wake up all of your stuff is damp and cant be dried....if it rains for a few days your screwed because your stuff cant dry, for this reason for us...
