We had stayed here once before and found it to be an average motel; nothing fancy but adequate for one night. This time we arrived to check in around 7 pm. No one was at the desk or in the immediate area. A number was displayed on the counter to call for assistance so we called and let it ring 12 rings with no answer. Another guest came down the stairs about then and said she had tried twice with no answer. Finally, an older woman came rushing out the office door saying she would "go get her". After waiting 10 or 15 minutes, we finally got checked in. Our room smelled like it had been smoked in repeatedly even though it had a no smoking symbol on the door. We were afraid to walk on the carpet barefoot, it looked so nasty. There were no instructions for accessing the wifi in the room and none had been given at check in. We figured there was no use trying to call because no one would answer so just did without. The bathroom fixtures were worn to where there was no plating and the stool made a whistling noise when flushed. The next morning, when we tried the breakfast offerings, the coffee was bitter and the sausage gravy was ice cold. Over all this was a bad enough experience that we will probably not stay here again.…
We have stayed at the Victorian Inn 6 times in the last year and have enjoyed every stay. The rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Nice breakfast offered, pool was clean and well maintained. Very safe.
I have stayed here numerous times and the rooms are always spotless! The owners and staff are very helpful with anything you may need. The free breakfast is one of the best I've had anywhere. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who needs a quiet, clean and affordable hotel for any reason.
My wife and I were moving my daughter into town, weren't on vacation, just wanted a nice clean place to stay one night. The Victorian was a good choice. The folks at the desk were very friendly and helpful. This isn't a 5 star resort, we weren't looking for that, but for the price, it is very nice, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
We stayed two nights, Sept 27th & 28th, for a family wedding. Price was reasonable. Hotel is two stories without an elevator. Check in desk clerk was just there for the job and didn't know where extra towels are when we requested them. Hallway carpets need a good cleaning and handrails on stairs are a little low and do not extend to the top of the stairs. See had a 2nd floor corner front room. U it was an nice sized room with sink as you came in, bathroom on the left, king sized bed (a bit too firm for me), reclining lounge chair and a small office with desk and chair. Night stands had plenty of plug ins for electronics. We didn't use the microwave, but did use the refrigerator. Dresser was missing one of the pulls. Light in the bathroom was a too dim. No grab bars for the tub. Shower was fine. There was adequate parking outside. Breakfast area was clean and some basic fruit, waffles, muffins, coffee, juice. No yogurt. Started serving at 4:30 am because of construction workers starting in hotel. Pool was nice sized. Water was very cold, but the kids did swim. deck was very slippery. Totals were provided in pool area. Restroom also in pool area. …
