Where do I start. Kuramathi is more than I ever expected. We stayed 7 nights and I wish we could of stayed longer. It wouldn’t matter how many photos or videos you see this would never give it justice until you arrive on the island. Travelled by seaplane what an experience, only approx 20 minutes until the beautiful island comes into site. We stayed in a Thundi water villa with pool, what can I say absolutely stunning. Our room was 362 right next to the sand bank. Beautiful decor and extremely spacious. However the real jewel was walking out onto our deck with infinity pool and panoramic views of the ocean. Even though we had other villas adjacent to us it was so peaceful and quiet and it made you feel like you had the place to yourself. Waking up every morning to your view was breathtaking. We were very lucky to have the sand bank right behind our villa. Can’t explain how beautiful the pure white sand bank and turquoise waters is until you step onto it. Some days at different times we had the sand bank to ourselves. Most people would walk the sand bank for sunset. We went All inclusive select and it was the best choice we made. We were blown away by the choice and quality of every meal we had whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. We were allocated the Farivalhu restaurant for breakfast with the most incredible view. The Inguru restaurant for lunch was our favourite with breathtaking views. It was very hard to choose a favourite evening meal as they were all outstanding. However we loved Island bbq or Kobe. We always had pre drinks at the Champagne loft and cocktails at the Laguna bar below. The cocktail list is huge. All are made with top branded ingredients and were fabulous. The Laguna bar was a favourite for watching the sunset and had a lovely atmosphere day or night. Was lovely to walk the whole island and seeing different accommodation and views which were all spectacular. Snorkelling is a absolute must on the house reef. Great idea having buggies going up and down the island all day and night. The weather was amazing all week we were there. Another absolute must is the Sunset cruise. We couldn’t of picked a better evening for ours, as we saw one of the best sunsets we had all week. From the moment we arrived all of the staff were so friendly, professional and polite which made our stay so welcoming. One exceptional member of staff was our villa housekeeper. Wish I had got his name. You could not of asked for a more polite, happy and hard working individual. Always smartly dressed and could not of done enough for you. What an experience and holiday of a lifetime. Could not praise this island enough and would recommend 100 % you need to go. We had the time of our lives and I actually got emotional on the last day when it was time to leave.…
We recently returned from our second visit to Kuramathi in the last 5 months - we were not disappointed and are pleased to say that the impeccable standard & experience we had in November was repeated - top notch customer service, rooms, food, drinks and of course the all important kids dream of Bageecha Kids Club!! While we went as a family with 2 young kids, it is important to note we would return here in a heart beat without the kids!! Snorkling: We did considerably more snorkling during this visit - we swam on the reef with dolphins, turtles, reef sharks and all sorts of other fish you can imagine. We had a room on the reef side so we could simply paddle out from the beach in front of our room. Bring a Go-Pro or some sort of underwater camera to document the experience!! Food: We had opted for the full-board package and were therefore allocated the Farivalhu buffet restaurant. You will not be disappointed with the variety, quality and freshness of the food served at every meal. We stayed for nine (9) nights and were never disappointed nor did we feel that the food was repetitive. Top quality food which is on par or exceeds standard of 5 star buffet restaurant in Dubai. The a la carte restaurants are exceptional but we didn't get to try them on this occasion. Room: Once again we were in a 2-bed beach house which is super spacious and could accommodate 6 adults. It is a two story structure with massive living space on each floor, massive bathroom and situated directly on the beach with your own private beach chairs in front. For families, there will be very few hotels that could offer such a unique living arrangement and is one of the reason we came back! The rooms are cleaned daily and the staff are extremely attentive to ensure the room is spotless upon your return. Island experience: We explored the island some more this time - its about 1.2km in length which means you are able to do your morning jogs from one end to the other. The white sandbar at the end of the Island is mind blowing- and spectacular, beautiful spot to park yourself, watch the world go by and take some memorable photos. At the other end of the island they have one of 3 swimming pools (2 of which are infinity) - it is very close to the jetty where the beginner snorkling is done and the swimming pool amongst the palm trees in front of the white sand it just WOW! There are several restaurants/bars around it where you can order food or refreshments. In between these two points there are many bars, restaurants, coffee club, spa and swimming pools which offer a great ambiance. Evening entertainment: The island has a cracking band which plays at the various bars/restaurants. We decided to briefly watch the band at Laguna bar on this visit and were very impressed. These guys have incredible voices, play any cover on request and really get the crowd going with their enthusiasm. Again, a very nice added touch for those that want to listen to some live music in paradise! Bageecha Kids Club - For those with kids, this is a priceless gem of a feature of the resort. The staff at this club are just phenomenal and give you every peace of mind that the kids are happy & in good hands. The kids club has lunch and dinner available during the course of the day and will facilitate baby sitting for younger kids (from a couple of months) for a very reasonable hourly fee. The kids will be doing painting, crafting, dress-up costumes, beach walks, cooking/bbq experience, visit the ocean life educational center amongst the many other activities. The club also has a dedicated swimming pool with slides along with a splash park for the toddlers. Imagine this: family breakfast finished 10:30am, drop off kids at Bageecha at 11am, adult time of cocktails by pool followed by a peaceful lunch. This is followed by having to drag the kids out of the kids club at 2pm because they enjoy it so much and want to stay longer. This place is what makes the resort for families!! Overall a very pleasant experience and one we would like to repeat. This resort is like nonother that we have stayed at and one we would recommend to anyone!!…
Our trip to Maldives was truly amazing! We booked 4 nights for our honeymoon in Kuramathi Island and I must say, it was simply the best! We got a warm and lovely welcome by Oksana, she was extremely helpful and kind! And that’s when we knew, we were at the right place! She guided us with all required instructions on what to do on the island with simple instructions and information! Super patient and super sweet and super professional! We were very Impressed by All the staff there . They were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the food was really good as well. All events happening on the island were entertaining. The live band antidote.band14 was truly amazing! They really kept the crowd entertained with good singing and music. Will definitely re-visit soon! Truly enjoyed our honeymoon…
We visited Kuramathi for our Christmas holiday and what a fantastic time we had. The staff were all really welcoming and attentive throughout the resort (special mention to Kathy who served us great cocktails by the infinity pool). This resort was perfect for our family, the size of the resort means there’s plenty of different pool/beach spots to try and nowhere ever felt overcrowded. One of the best things about this resort is the kids club, they offer a fantastic programme each day so our kids would look at what was on and decide the times to attend. They enjoyed it so much that when we went to collect them, they were asking to stay longer! Shout out to the whole Bageecha team who are just amazing! The pools and views at this resort are amazing and snorkelling is definitely a must, our children are hooked after this visit. We did a few trips - the sunset trip where we were lucky enough to see many dolphins, fishing trips, submarine trip. On the deep sea fishing trip, we caught a number of wahoo fish which the chefs kindly prepared for us to eat that evening. The Christmas experience was wonderful - the gala dinner on Christmas Eve had everything you could imagine! Christmas Day was made really special with Santa arriving on a Dhoni and taking the time to individually call up each child on resort, he had a named present for each one. The only slight disappointment we had was the frequency of the buggies - it’s a large island and given the volume of people, they could do with operating a few more buggies to help people get around. After 2 years of lockdowns and pandemic life, this was just what we needed! A great all round family resort, we look forward to returning one day and hopefully for another great Christmas experience!…
I really do not know where to start, but our 10 days here has definitely spoilt us for life! From the moment we arrived on the island we were made to feel extremely welcome. Every member of staff we came to meet during our stay were amazing and very attentive. The food was outstanding. We were select all inclusive and had plenty to enjoy and it was all extremely well presented. Our room was extremely spacious, kept clean and tidy for us each day and I miss the view and tranquility of it. We walked the length of the island pretty much every day, never taking the same route and there was just so much to see and enjoy each time. We talk every day about returning. For us this was a mega luxurious holiday and a return will take a while to save up for but a return is most definitely on the cards. Thank you to everyone on the island for spoiling us and making the holiday even more special than it was.…
We recently travelled to Kuramathi Island Resort in Maldives for honeymoon. It was an amazing and mesmerizing experience. Kuramathi is just paradise. The transfer from the landing dock to the reception by speedboat makes you feel very lucky and humble to be there. We had a lovely welcome. Oksana, our receptionist, is such a humble and kind person. She helped us a lot with all the details. It made us very comfortable. The Beach villa was so beautiful and peaceful. Malaafaiy Restaurant was the best. Everyone was so helpful. Although very few Indians were there, but the staff made sure we had no problems with vegetarian or if anything else. The service was absolutely high quality. We transferred to Water Villa for 2nd part of the trip and it was breath taking experience. The transfer was very smooth with all minute details taken care. The view and facilities were superb. The Island is not too long to walk and Buggy service was nice. We enjoyed few water sports and it was great fun. Keep in mind that you need to book the sports as soon as you reach the island else it might not be available - depending on days of sports. Overall it was fantastic and a lifetime memory. We definitely will be back, hope to get Thundi water villa next time and seaplane for sure, that would be a different experience.…
Kuramathi is just paradise, there is absolutely nothing to fault, we literally spent 8 days saying wow. We flew from Manchester via Dubai to Male and by the time you arrive in Male you are shattered but as soon as you travel by seaplane and see the Maldives it takes your breath away. From the plane we saw pods of dolphins and rays. The transfer from the landing dock to the reception by speedboat makes you feel very lucky and humble to be there. We had a lovely welcome with our Kuoni rep who gave great advice. Our water bungalow was stunning, so comfy, we snorkelled on the reef most mornings and saw every kind of fish, reef sharks, eels and a turtle. Dolphins swam past the room too. If you are going and have not booked select all inclusive you need to consider upgrading, the buffets are great but the select all inclusive for the restaurants is another level, the food is amazing, including the ice cream at the palm. There’s a great choice of places to eat and drink and booking your meals was very easy. It’s a real fine dining treat. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly and the island buggies are plentiful if they heat makes you tired. The fruit bats are entertaining to watch, as are the herons and crabs. You are in for a real treat going to Kuramathi it’s breath taking.…
I can't find the words how wonderful this place is. We have found our Paradise. It's simply the Heaven in the earth. We had Basic all inclusive which was absolutely enough for us. We stayed in water villa which is just amazing. The food is very good (due the chefs are French and we adore French kitchen). The water, the island itself are out of this world. It's so so so tropical like from the movies. We definitely will be back, hope to get Thundi water villa next time and seaplane for sure, because for me personally the trip to the Island and back by a speedboat was a little bit challenging, because I found out that it makes me a little bit sick even though I got a pill from sickness. Except that everything is just perfect and more.
This was the most amazing place I have ever been too the resort was 5 star all the way. Beaches and water were out of this world. Food was delicious excellent staff can not fault this resort in any way. Snorkelling incredible never seen so many different fish. Evening entertainment was 1st class too. We will definitely be returning
Absolute gem of a place and a place that I’d be happy to return to year on year - against my normal moto of always trying somewhere new. The view from our villa was as picturesque as our see in all the photos, a dream to wake up to. Rooms were clean. Food was good, a good variety. Staff were fabulous throughout.
