Bali Eco Stay is a special place. Far from the urban sprawl of the coast and the bumper-to-bumper traffic of Ubud, its bungalows sit sympathetically in a landscape of ricefields and food forests, where the loudest sound at night is of frogs. Each bungalow is different, and designed with careful attention to detail. Some bungalows overlook the stream coming down...

The Bali Eco Stay Bungalows are one of the best places in the world I've ever been. As a world traveler and a Mindful retreat host to luxury ecolodges immersed in nature, I can say that the Bali Eco Stay fulfilled all that I could ask for and more. This was my second year conducting a retreat for my group...

I had the supreme pleasure of staying at Bali Eco Stay for a yoga retreat. From the moment our group of 16 arrived, until we were on to another location on the beach, we were surrounded by beauty and thoughtfulness. The structures were amazingly crafted, the food was delicious and lovely in its presentation, and the people treated us with...

I spent a week at Bali Eco-Stay in late October with my two travelling companions. The setting is beautiful and the layout of the bungalows blends well with nature drawing your eye to the rice paddies, mountains and streams. We especially enjoyed the meals and water – not having to worry about what we ate. The organic, freshly prepared salads...

8 of us stayed for a yoga retreat for 5 days, and we are glad we did. The rainy season had just started, but we loved the rain, which really expanded the waterfall and running water through the rice fields. Healthy, fresh food in the restaurant, from smiling staff.

If you only visit the heavily touristed areas of Bali you are missing out! Bali Eco Stay is on the side of Mount Batukaru, north of Tabanan. Only 1.5 hours from the airport and oh so different than places like Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud.... I've been coming to Indonesia for over 25 years. Often staying 6+ weeks to dive, shop,...

Hi Deb, Thanks so much for your wonderful review. It means so much to us to have repeat guests and especially when they write such glowing unsolicited reviews from an intrepid adventurer like yourself. Bali Eco Stay is certainly an escape from the maddening crowd and gives you the space to settle and reconnect to all those facets of life...

We loved everything about Bali Eco Stay and two days were all too short to appreciate everything it had to offer. Where to begin? The organically grown and lovingly prepared food in the restaurant was wonderfully nourishing, falvoursome and clean; the bungalows are a real treat in unique design that allows a restful immersion in the rainforest environment; the yoga...

Hi Kerstin, So great to meet you both and thanks heaps for taking the time to write us a review. Being a gardener yourself it means a lot to all the staff to have all their hard work noticed and appreciated. The growth up here on The Mountain with its fertile volcanic soil ,6 meters average rainfall and humid conditions...

Bali Eco Stay has created a green sanctuary that has been designed with care and love for the local community, the environment and for the people lucky enough to stay there. The bungalows are part of the hillside and private, with a view to lush permaculture gardens, jungle and rice fields. You can sleep with the light of the moon...

We stayed 3 night at Bali Eco Stay and were really touched by the beauty of this place. All bungalows are high end, unique in design and have lovely outdoor bathrooms. You can choose if you want to overview the river, the rice paddies or the waterfall. And from the restaurant you can overlook the treetops through the coast. We...

Hi Sanne, Thanks so much for your review, its very much appreciated. So great to meet you both and so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Balinese are so wonderful to work with and the permaculture principles we work with are pretty much the way they have operated for centuries. Working with nature and not against it. Happy...
