My partner and I stayed at the Samanvaya for 4 nights. The staff there are unbelievably welcoming, the food nourishing, the grounds gorgeous and the rooms beautiful and cosy. My partner was sick during our stay and the staff were so accomodating and expressed concern for him. I did a private yoga and mediation class that was seriously life changing and I have been practising everyday since. It’s the perfect place to unwind and recenter yourself in beautiful surrounds of Sideman!

My wife and I stayed here for 14 days. We were absolutely blown away. The staff were amazing and would accommodate any request. They knew our names after 2 days and were like family by the end of a week. The resort is a hidden gem and is truly what Bali should be (a stress free oasis). The resort is something I only imagined the rich and famous could enjoy. (Unfortunately I am neither rich nor famous!) The spa was amazing, it is beautifully designed and the staff are top notch. Prices are more than reasonable for the services. Accommodations were straight up luxury. From the size and amenities of the Villa to the beautiful kimonos and impeccable cleaning/laundry services. We stayed in Alila 1 and loved every minute. The food was fresh and made to order every time. My wife has Celiac disease and staff were knowledgeable and very accommodating. The kitchen made sure gluten free bread was available daily!!! We took many of the offered experiences and all were breathtaking. The guides were amazing, friendly, polite, knowledgeable and very accommodating. My wife was able to get all of her “Instagram photos” and then some. The resort created a trip that wasn’t offered and that was spectacular. Our stay was truly life altering (I’m not joking) if I could quit my job and move to Samanvaya I would. We stayed in the Alina villa which was fantastic - the most amazing views across the rice field from our bed to balcony, and we even spotted a cute little frog from our outdoor tub/ bathroom. The food here was delightful. You can call in for room service but there was no better setting for a cocktail while watching the sunset at their restaurant Asari. The mushroom & burrata pizza was my favorite. Loved the chocolate caramel tart as well. Staff were extremely kind. We were greeted by Ketut who was super friendly and hilarious. Diah and Asih were our hostess and waitress at the restaurant. Both super accommodating especially with my many food adjustments bcuz I’m a picky eater. But everyone was really great. They always want to help you and make your stay be the best possible. All in all a very special place to spend your holiday. 10/10 recommend.…

This hotel is beautiful! If you are reading this and thinking about staying here, DO IT! Fiancé and I stayed in the pool villa and the room is so spacious, view is amazing, and the downstairs bathroom looks just like a spa! The #1 thing for me was the water dispenser in the room— Bali is hot and humid so having a water dispenser in the room was so convenient. We stayed for a total of 3 nights. I am actually laying in my room right now writing this review and will be checking out tomorrow, but wanted to make sure I left a review for this amazing hotel and their staff before I left. Sidemen was the first out of 4 towns we will be staying in during our 2-week trip in Bali. It will be hard for the rest of the hotels to top this one. Asri restaurant is on the hotel’s grounds and food is delicious! Breakfast was included for us and you can dine in the restaurant or order to your room. Same thing for dinner but dinner not included but we ate here each night because the food was too good we couldn’t get enough! The only negative thing I will say is there are lots of bugs so just be aware BUT You are in the jungle so that is to be expected while in Bali:-) but the hotel provides insect repellant, bug spray, and also a mosquito net over the bed. Whenever you needed something you can contact the front desk and they were so timely on all requests. Once again thank you Samanvaya for a wonderful experience. What a dream to be able to wake up to the sunrise from the deck at Samanvaya - it was the most breathtaking sunrise I have ever witnessed. The grounds were beautiful and rooms were comfortable, and the spa treatment I received from Nita was wonderful and relaxing. My absolute favorite part of my stay here, and I think something that is really unique about Samanvaya, was the tours that they offer. I went on the Sidemen by Scooter tour for 3 hours with Putu. It was the highlight of my time in Sidemen. Putu was so fun to spend the morning with - he took me to the best sights, explained everything, and made me feel at ease on the back of the scooter in even the more remote areas. I highly recommend his tour and exploring the options for other tours during your stay. Samanvaya staff overall were extremely courteous and helpful, especially Dewa who was so kind to explain parts of Balinese culture and traditional music to me. I enjoyed his outstanding hospitality and conversation. I also appreciated that even though it's a luxury resort, it's still very intimate with only 15 villa/rooms and this was very apparent with how connected you are able to feel with the staff. They end up each becoming familiar faces who you get to befriend and know throughout your stay. Sidemen itself is unbelievable in its natural beauty. Staff here was wonderful. The room and entire grounds were beautiful. Having the restaurant and spa at our disposable was amazing as well. Resort was quiet, tranquil, peaceful. 10/10 recommend to everyone!

Great spot for a get away. Obsessed with the restaurant on site. I’d go back again just for that! The activities were fun, the scooter tour was great. I also love the initiative the hotel hosts where they trade plastic for rice to give back to the community while keeping paradise clean! I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I find it hard to describe the tranquility and atmosphere at Samanvaya with words. From the moment we were picked up at the airport I knew Samanvaya was going to be special. We arrived late at night and they had kept the kitchen open for us to order some room-service. We were very tired from a 20-hour journey, but the peaceful surroundings immediately embraced us and was a perfect start of our holiday. Staff was amazing, the personal and down to earth service made me want to never leave, the villas are cozy and comfy (Sundari) Pool-area is beautiful, service in the lobby, restaurant, spa and reception was exceptional. The resort itself is like something out of a fairytale and I get the hype and why people come here for Instagram-moments. It was the perfect place to relax, so beautiful and food and drinks was made to perfection. We had the best massages of our lives - traditional, hot bamboo and hot stone. We didn’t want to leave, but then we have something to look forward to until our “second” honeymoon! See you next time! Mads & Camilla…
