Me and my wife stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Pros: Super scenic property Good food with Attention to detail Highly courteous staff Peaceful Out of the world Pool. They upgraded our room since it was our wedding anniversary. Cons: 1. Insects and Bugs all around 2. Spa is a big no. Insects come into bath tub and lizards are all over the spa place. I spent about 5 million Rp on spa and even after complaining that it was very bad they didn’t cancel or reduce the charges on it. Spa is unhygienic. 3. TV Wi-Fi keeps on hanging even after multiple repairs. They give Harmon Kardon speakers but the Wi-Fi is very weak. Advice: Stay for one day, get your pics, enjoy and leave. Don’t take their spa services as it is not at all scenic and also very unhygienic. Definitely a go to place for the good reasons.…
We have stayed in this beautiful hotel for 4 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and trying to make your stay as easy as possible. The spa and the spa staff is amazing. We had a great treatment. The food was delicious. They were very helpful proving me vegan food.
From the moment you arrive you are in awe of how beautiful everything is.. The funicular ride down into the resort is really cool and once in the villa it feels like you are in heaven. Cocktails were really nice and very inventive! Service was perfect and everyone was so warm and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. This has been a bucket list hotel for years and im so glad that i got to experience it
Awful, this place is one of the worst places I have visited in Ubud. I would never return. The service is horrible. They claim to be a 7 star hotel but they try to upsell everything. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed the entire time!! Th entire process of reminding you about a minimum spending was very unfortunate and not warm. There are many other choices to visit in Ubud. I highly recommend Ritz reserve and four seasons sayan
TRAVELERS BEWARE- this hotel has been an absolute nightmare. We tried to reschedule our honeymoon to Bali three times due to Covid and ultimately decided to cancel given the global climate. All hotels we had booked, refundable or not on paper, worked with us to give us refunds given the scenario. Americans have not been able to enter Indonesia for months as it's listed as a Level 4: Do Not Travel country. Hanging Gardens has been absolutely miserable - I’ve been on an email thread for 5+ months where one employee made us get on a Skype to plead our case, said yes, then after multiple email follow ups was responded to be a new individual saying they will not provide a refund. Given how understanding other hotels and airlines have been to the global Covid scenario, this has been so disappointing. I would NOT support this business nor would I risk booking here, especially if American given current global travel restrictions and unknown climate. You will NOT speak to someone directly if you have any travel issues and they will NOT be accommodating to any financial circumstances as all other hotels in Bali have been to us- stay somewhere else.…
A true hidden Gem is right! Set high above and deep within the Jungle of Ubud, The Hanging Gardens of Bali will delight all your senses. We could try and describe the beauty of this amazing Hotel but it will not do it justice. You need to see this with your own eyes to fully appreciate everything the Hanging Gardens of Bali has to offer. We stayed in the Villa Pool suite and were thoroughly impressed with the scenery, amenities in the room and of course our own private Pool. We spent countless hours in the Pool gazing out to the Jungle, listening to all the sounds of the birds and watching the Monkey’s jump from tree to tree. From time to time, they’d come down from the Trees to our Patio to explore. The room was beautiful and comfortable, it made it hard to want to leave and go explore the Hotel. We highly recommend booking the Floating Boat Breakfast, the experience is one of a kind, the food is delicious and we enjoyed waking up to this incredible feast and sipping on our Mimosa’s watching the sunrise. Another highlight would be the Spa treatments we received at the Spa by the River. Set above the Holy River of Ayung, relax and listen to the rush of water and the sounds of the Jungle while enjoying your massage. We’ve had Spa treatments as couples all over the world, but this was by far our favorite experience and we loved every minute of how peaceful and tranquil this experience was. The English High Tea was incredible showcasing so many different delicacies; savor the Tea and Treats, sit back and enjoy the Jungle views. To cap off our Hanging Gardens dining experience with a Spiritual Journey we thoroughly enjoyed the Balinese Blessing Dinner. We were shuttled over to the Padmasana Temple and greeted by the local village Mangku. He performed his prayer ceremony symbolizing a purification of our body and soul. Once the ceremony concluded we were met by the Spa staff, they washed our feet and massaged them before dinner. The Chef prepared a delicious meal with some of our favourite local dishes (Mie Goreng & Nasi Goreng). We dinned under the stars surrounded by 100’s of candles and flowers beautifully arranged for our dining pleasure. The service and staff at the Hanging Gardens was outstanding, everyone we met was gracious and accommodating to our every request. The Hanging Gardens is truly a one of a kind experience, if your travels take you to Ubud, we highly recommend staying at the Hanging Gardens for an incredible Bali experience.…
I have travelled all over the world and never have I stayed in a place so beautiful. This is, quite simply, the most fantastic place to stay and I can’t recommend it enough to others. The rooms are so beautiful that you hardly want to leave them!
The right place for escaping from work. Refreshing ambiance. A place to enjoy life with "style": cozy, elegant!👍 For selfie: fantastic spots are available. Services: no worries, the staff members know well what to do to make guests feeling satisfied. Very recommended hotel!
The property is surrounded by an amazing view of a jungle with sometimes a chance of a heavy fog appearing that heightened its beauty. Love the pool design no wonder it is an award winning, the best pool in a hotel by Azure Azure. The villa itself is fantastic with a private pool overlooking a vast jungle. The funicular is a fun way of a transportation here between facilities. Super recommended!
We'd been wanting to stay at this property since last year, and finally when Bali opened its door for domestic travellers we immediately booked a room. But things were not as good as expected. Though staff are mostly very friendly, the standard of service and food quality are not enough to represent a hotel of this price category. When we checked in, we were not thoroughly explained about the in room facilities by the staff who escorted us to our villa. Second, Late at night we discovered television was out of order, and technician on duty was not able to fix the problem after more than 30 minutes in our room. Third, the next morning we discovered that the restaurant was still closed despite breakfast starts at 7am. Finally, when my partner wanted to use the hotel toiletries, he found empty tube of shaving cream. We highlighted all these flaws to receptionist on duty when we checked out and the next day someone called us to apologize, and promised some kind of compensation (Actually the compensation will not be beneficial for us since we don't live in Bali to frequently use their day facilities). But after almost 10 days, we still received no news as follow up of the promise. I posted some photos of hotel's beautiful sceneries but nothing else is worth flaunting unless they do improvements…
