It is situated near Payangan, a village North of Ubud, whilst the hotel rests in the centre of the magical island of Gods. The enchanting five star luxury resort has 44 private suites and individual villas, each enhanced by its own granite infinity pool, rippling into the jungle below. Each villa is designed with traditional Alang Alang thatched roofs in complete harmony with nature. We'd been wanting to stay at this property since last year, and finally when Bali opened its door for domestic travellers we immediately booked a room. But things were not as good as expected. Though staff are mostly very friendly, the standard of service and food quality are not enough to represent a hotel of this price category. When we checked in, we were not thoroughly explained about the in room facilities by the staff who escorted us to our villa. Second, Late at night we discovered television was out of order, and technician on duty was not able to fix the problem after more than 30 minutes in our room. Third, the next morning we discovered that the restaurant was still closed despite breakfast starts at 7am. Finally, when my partner wanted to use the hotel toiletries, he found empty tube of shaving cream. We highlighted all these flaws to receptionist on duty when we checked out and the next day someone called us to apologize, and promised some kind of compensation (Actually the compensation will not be beneficial for us since we don't live in Bali to frequently use their day facilities). But after almost 10 days, we still received no news as follow up of the promise. I posted some photos of hotel's beautiful sceneries but nothing else is worth flaunting unless they do improvements

I dreamed of visiting this famous place for many years, and now my dream has come true. Despite the high expectations, the stay here was even better! Why? Because, everyone saw photos of this heaven place, beautifully blended with the tropical nature of the hotel. But when you are here you feel a special energy, which  gives these unforgettable emotions, and this energy is created by the people who work here !!! Such kind, sympathetic, pleasant, ready to help people you will even meet not everywhere in Bali, and certainly nowhere else in the world! Thanks a lot to the owners who created this heavenly place and our gratitude to the staff who created an atmosphere of harmony and love here! I sincerely wish the development, new grateful guests and successful work of Hanging Gardens!!!

Dear Maximiliano S, Thank you for your positive feedback! We are glad to hear that you had a great stay with us. I agree with you, our infinity pool is nominated as the world's best swimming pol in the world! It is two-tiered and the tiles are made from the ash of the mighty Mount Agung. We made it all to tiny details so you could have the feeling of swimming in the middle of the tree tops. Thank you for your comments on the food and the entire experience. Our staffs are very happy to hear your beautiful feedback. Maximiliano, thank you again for sharing your experience and for staying at Hanging Gardens of Bali. We are looking forward to have you back to our resort. Jungle wishes,

We chose Hanging Gardens for the first hotel on our honeymoon in Indonesia, and it was unforgettable. The treatment by the employees were impeccable and extremely friendly , the care they have with us (they gave me a gift, every day they presented us with a cake to wish us happy honeymoon, among others) was exceptional. Our villa was perfect, always spotlessly clean. One of the nights we had a romantic dinner on the porch of our villa, which was wonderful. I felt an inner peace like never before in any other part of the world, and a happiness for being in that hotel, surrounded by nature and at same time luxury and comfort.
