I have never met an amazing accommodation like Villa Wastra. Actually I am a world traveller, visiting different countries and trying different hotels is always a new adventure. I never choose an accommodation twice. This villa will be the only exception! I'm sorry but I cannot tell the spirit or the soul of this place. The villa is a real dream! The pictures just do not do this place justice. The views are more than breathtaking and miraculous. The rooms are like a 5star hotel, elegant, clean and lovely. The pool, the huge garden, the small lake, the library (full of very good books), the different balconies and terraces - all give you the Duke or Duchess feeling. The breakfast and the service are also 5star, these people are super helpful, they put their heart into everything. It is for sure that every time I will come back to Villa Wastra if I visit Bali. Thank you for everything!

I booked this Villa, and it says in Booking.com that they still have rooms available. After I had received the booking confirmation, I called the owner to inform my arrival. Shockingly she said the Villa is full. And then I check again on my reservation confirmation thought that I select the wrong date, turns out I was right. I call the owner again, and this time she said, they have already few guests, and she's afraid that the helper in the Villa could not manage all the guests when the villa is full. Afterall, the owner gives another reason, which they have still room available but it's far away from each other and has no view. The owner gives so many excuses, and I find it hard to believe which one is true. In the end, I only suggest her to keep update on the website about the availability of the room. Sadly, she denied that it's her fault. Instead, it's booking.com fault. Please be aware if you book this Villa.

Places like Villa Wastra have earned Bali its reputation as a tropical paradise. The Villa literally rises out of the rainforest north of Ubud, with views of a gorge and the calm and tranquility of an exceptional mountain vista. On top of the location, the Innkeeper, Mariah (pronounced "Maria"), and her staff could not have been nicer or more hospitable. The room was comfortable, clean and luxurious and the breakfast (included) and dinner (extra charge pp) were truly tasty. My mom and I also highly recommend Villa driver, Wayan, who was punctual with a clean car and very knowledgeable about the local area with good English. Villa Wastra is a must for anyone looking to escape the tourist bustle of today's Bali for a taste of the setting that created the island's well-deserved reputation.

We had a great stay at this place. The villa is located about 30 min by car from Ubud in a remote location with amassing view. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. We highly recommend this place to stay.

Villa Wastra is our favourite place. We were in desperate need of an emergency break and this place delivered. My husband and I spent our days, having breakfast up top which was yummy and delicious. Then spent the day relaxing or swimming. Mariah, the owner of the complex was always very helpful. And the days we wanted to go into town, she organsied a driver to take us in and pick us up. We were spoilt for dinner. We stayed for a whole week and had a smorgasboard of fresh dishes, full of flavour and nutrition. Nothing processed. You definitely had a full belly and were very satisfied. This is our 4th time here. And we hope to be back in August. It is peaceful, calming and relaxing. The views are just breathtaking and photos do not do it justice. The time goes slow and really invites you to be in the moment and full unwind. All the staff at Villa Wastra are amazing and helpful. And we highly recommend this place to stay to anyone. Sarah and Shayne
