This property was inviting, relaxing, and a wonderful way visit the area. Everything was clean, well kept, and is clearly done with the guest in mind. The grounds are fun as well as beautiful, and the Innkeeper Mark is a real treat and an excellent cook! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to accent their visit with a relaxed and cozy environment, wonderful conversation, and close proximity to the Truman Library, several great museums, and nearby bike trails. Looking forward to our next visit!

First experience to stay at a B&B for my husband and I. We were a little apprehensive not knowing what to expect....there was no need to worry! We checked in a little later than the check-in time. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mark the innkeeper, very friendly and put us at ease. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our first morning after a restful night, we were greeted by a tremendously tasty breakfast! Not only was the food delicious, Mark was very informative and friendly. Other members of our group did not arrive until the second night. Our second morning was our entire group at the breakfast table, however Mark served and prepared like a pro. Departure on our third morning was like leaving a friend's home! I would definitely recommend Woodstock! If we are in that area again, we know where to stay!

I just spent ten days at the Woodstock Inn B & B while attending a conference at the nearby Community of Christ Auditorium. When I say “nearby,” I mean just across the street! While free parking is included, I decided that I really didn’t even need to rent a car—quite a savings. I stayed in the spacious Greek Room (which is the only one I couldn’t find on the website). I chose it because I was traveling alone and didn’t really want a second bed taking up space nor did I want to splurge for a jacuzzi or fireplace. The Greek Room has a sofa that can make out into a second bed—in which case there would be much less open space. It’s an attractive and well-furnished room, and there is plenty of drawer space and a row of hooks to hang some things (no closet, though). There were common areas in which to relax or meet other guests, both inside and outside in the garden. We had some nice weather mid-April and I only regret that I was too busy to enjoy the outdoor space. Next time! Mark was a terrific host, so completely accommodating to the needs and schedules of the guests (all attending various activities associated with the conference). Breakfast was generous and always included scrambled eggs or omelette, pancakes or waffles, fresh fruit, bacon or sausage, orange juice, coffee, and tea. There were complimentary baked goods every afternoon, and complimentary tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks (peanuts or M&M’s or Gorp-type mixtures) were always available. I definitely plan to stay there again! Given the large, filling breakfast, I felt I got very good value for my money. (There was a discount for the conference, due, I think, to the longer stays and reduced need to changeover the rooms. Rooms were serviced upon request. Although the rates are a little higher than I’m used to in small towns in the Mid-West, for what you got, they were actually very reasonable.) Thank you, Mark, for being such an excellent, cheerful, and positive host!
