We highly recommend the Silver Heart Inn. Amy & Charles made our stay amazing. This was our first stay at a B&B and it was great. The home is comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and we had lots of privacy. The grounds are beautiful and the owners have made personal touches to make your stay comfortable.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Silver Heart Inn & Cottages for the 4th of July. We were immediately welcomed by a very friendly staff. The room (asia room) was large, well-kept, and very well decorated. The key-pad locks were nice as well. Silver Heart is fantastic at the Breakfast of Bed and Breakfast. Two amazing home-made breakfasts, again served by a very friendly staff. The location was the perfect jumping-off point to explore Independence and Kansas City. While there we visited Independence Court (Start of the Oregon Trail), Harry Truman's house, Walt Disney's childhood home, Walt Disney's first studio, WW1 Museum, a ton of the amazing murals, great BBQ (the owners let us keep the left-overs in their refrigerator which was very kind), and all the great things Kansas City has to offer. At the end of all the days, it was great to have somewhere quiet and welcoming to return to. Will definitely be back!…
Our close friends surprised my husband and me by taking us to Independence, Mo and booking rooms at this lovely Inn. Our stay was greatly enhanced by our host Charles who made every effort to exceed our expectations. The breakfasts were divine but not overly heavy, freshly made cookies were a treat, and our conversations with Charles were warm and friendly. He gave us great suggestions and directions for local restaurants which were a hit. We would highly recommend The Silver Heart Inn.
Great host, accommodations, breakfast and overall ambience. The main house was welcoming and the room that we stayed in was extremely comfortable. The house is located in the middle of town so easy to drive anywhere.
A cozy place to get away. We enjoyed true Midwestern hospitality, excellent service and great food. Helpful suggestions by the owners on where to go and what to do around town. Very romantic room (Asia room). Thank you for a great weekend!
What a uniquely wonderful experience! We were able to book online and the innkeeper contacted us to make sure our check in and stay would be seamless. He gave us a lovely tour and encouraged us to enjoy the well groomed patio and yard. He recommended a an Italian restaurant where I had the best prime rib ever. He prepared a marvelous breakfast. What more could we want!
We stayed at the Beach Cottage which has a wonderful ocean feel to it. The private hot tub was fantastic. The full breakfast made by Charles was very good and the ambiance of the house added to the amazing stay. It was a very relaxing weekend.
Stayed in the Asian room for 2 nights in the main house. Enjoyed hearing the history of the house - check out the window pane in the dining room for a surprise from bygone years. The house is well maintained and comfortable. The grounds are will kept, peaceful, inviting, and a nice place to unwind from your day. The breakfast was beyond yummy! All dietary issues were honor. The inn keeper was delightful, accommodating, fun, personable, and 1000% on top of it all. We did not use the hot tub but it looked very inviting. They also do on-site elopements! Ask about in room couples massage .... you will not be disappointed! Highly recommend a stay at Silver Heart.
My spouse and I stayed in the "Beach" cottage for two nights. It was a wonderful getaway; from the hot tub to the king bed everything was perfect. I would recommend Silver Heart to anyone wanting a cozy and romantic place to stay.
We really enjoyed our night at Silver Heart. The hosts are gracious and accommodating. We had to check in late and they had to mail my forgotten glasses to me. B&Bs are great ways to meet people as you travel. We recommend this inn!
