Mount Agung provides a dramatic backdrop for Amankila (peaceful hill), a secluded seaside resort overlooking the Lombok Strait. Spacious stilted villas offer exceptional views from their hillside locations amongst frangipani and bougainvillea, and are connected to the resort's facilities by raised walkways. Guests can relax around the signature three-tiered pool or at the Beach Club on Amankila's beach. Amankila also offers easy access to untouched rural countryside, local crafts and the region's royal past.

Amankila is our first Aman hotels we ever stay and my overall review is amazing and unforgettable. The view of ocean from the main pool is the most amazing pool view and I have to agree to the review by Luxury Travel Expert. We booked for ocean suite villa and they upgrade our reservation to pool villa. It is wonderful villa and everything was setup nicely. Breakfast can be enjoyed in our villa. People in Amankila is trained for serving the guest with high standard excellency. I was so thankful with all the staffs at Amankila. Truly Aman hotel excells above other luxury hotels we ever stay.

I took the Kilasari suite for a week before Covid-19 hit. It was a beautiful Oasis. The room and pool were incredibly luxurious without being ostentatious. They had a warm and welcoming vibe about them despite the blingy pool and tropical vistas. I would occasionally go down to the beach to read and swim, and to the restaurant for beautiful fresh meals. But I could've spent weeks just lazing by the pool in that villa. The staff are delightful. The manager was a lovely guy who would quietly check in from time to time. Everyone learns and knows your name. I would duck out for 30 minutes and the room would be cleaned and treats would be left even though I never saw anyone working on it. This resort sets the standard for understated luxury.

I have been visiting Bali multiple times before, and always stays at the usual "touristy" areas of Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, and Legian. On this occasion, I tried to stay at different area as I did plan to just stay and relaxing at the resort. I choose Amankila as my destination. Arrival pickup and transfer to the resort is very smooth as there are less traffic in Bali due to pandemic. Reaching the resort, I was amazed by the view. Check in was also effortless (with some minor issues which promptly rectified). I already heard about Aman's legendary service, and upon experience them myself, I can say that the story was very true. 3 nights passed very fast in this amazing place. Many thanks for Amankila team that make my stays very memorable and hope I can visit Amankila again soon!

I spent 2 nights in this beautiful resort in the East Bali during my weekend gateway. The moment you enter the resort, you know that the resort is old, but it is still well-maintained. You can sense all the employees have already worked with the resort from long time ago - and this makes this place somewhat has its charm and warm. If you are Amanjunkies, you will know the level of hospitality of Aman that you will expect - also is happened in this resort. During the stay, we order private dinner by the beach and morning cruise and I am satisfied with my decision - it's worth the penny you spend. Oh, if you stay in this resort, don't forget to ask their welcome cookies; seriously, it really delicious - they refill it during our stay and I bring home the left cookies ;) Overall, I think this resort can be part of your lifelong villa - you might want to revisit again after years of traveling somewhere.
