Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a few nights before heading to Lombok. We paid between 200,000 to 250,000 rupiah. Can't remember exact, but definitely negotiate price. Pros: good location to explore Padang Bai, the shops, restaurants and surrounding beaches. Recommend the bar/restaurant next door, good western food. Air conditioning is sufficient. The breakfast area is pleasant with a... More

I have stayed at Kembar Inn seven time over the last six years, usually for over a month at a time. I live and work in Asia, so this is where I often (and can afford to) spend breaks. The rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is great and the staff and owners are very special people. They really care, and... More

We stayed one night at Kembar Inn in Padang Bai. Advised on Lonely Planet, I thought not much could go wrong. And indeed when we arrived, it was quite nice, cheap accomodation with access to the terrace with seaview. But the horror started when we wanted to sleep. I wasn´t concerned with the sound of the nearby bars, (I use... More

Spent 2 nights, clean room with aircon or fan. Room starts at 100k. Very close to the harbour. Good Wi-Fi. Big breakfast : tea/coffee, 2 eggs (differents styles) with toast and fresh fruit buffet. This is the perfect place for backpackers before heading to Lembongan, the Gilis or Lombok.

There really isn't much to do in Padang Bai. Really just a stopover for Lombok/Gili islands. Kembar inn is very conveniently located- less than a few minute walk to the harbor. Which is why I stayed here. It's reasonably priced, reasonably clean. Breakfast was provided. Staff are friendly and helpful. Sunshine bar is about a 1 minute walk away. Worth... More

This was really a great place with a friendly helpful host and a very clean and tidy airconned room and the general atmosphere was great, with a few other backpackers around. Another recommendable place for any backpacker looking for relatively cheap and good accommodation

We spend a couple of nights in Feb 2015 (rainy season) in Padang Bai, thereof the most in Kembar Inn. Double bed room with fan was 175 k/night (we got some discount due to the length of our stay). Padang Bai is a peaceful place, from where we did some daytrips with the scooter (50k / day). Both Beaches (white... More

Decent price and location but the power was on and off all night, the wifi was worse than useless and half the time the shower didn't even work! Also we booked our onward bus to Kuta with them and were told to be ready at 10 for a 10:30 pick-up. At 10:40 I asked where they were (he wouldn't have... More

The rooms and bathrooms are basic but clean. Price is acceptable. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel can organize transfer from/to airport and helps you organize your stay in Bali. Conveniently located close to Padangbai harbour (speedboats to Gilis and ferry to Lombok) and beachfront (where there are lots of dive centers, restaurants...).

Friendly helpful staff with booking onward travel Good breakfast Very basic rooms - no window and not sure the shower even worked. Good for one night and ok price, tried to stay at Topi Inn but the reservation system was awkward as were the staff on the telephone so this was our other option
