Good start with prompt and friendly check in. Our room was clean and although a bit on the small side was well appointed. We were glad that we chose the convenience of a pool access room however it lacked proper had rails which made it quite difficult to climb out of the pool. It certainly would not be suitable for more elderly guests. We were surprised to be handed a breakfast menu as we were used to having a buffet breakfast in Bali. However, we were not disappointed as we tried most dishes on offer and all were delicious. The only downside was that the coffee was quite terrible. We also enjoyed tasty food with a big drink selection in the hotel restaurant Romeos. The hotel is situated in a convenient location with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Although close to the beach it was a bit of a hot slog along a series of alleys to get there. We would stay again.…
Second stay at this hotel and definitely will return. Staff are outstanding, great location. Pool access room is our top choice as we are early risers. We generally eat at some of the many restaurants surrounding the hotel but can highly recommend the pina coladas! I was surprised by the three lovely young ladies who brought me cake for my birthday and sang the song too. Wifi was not an issue. We had no problems, a memorable and relaxing stay at an affordable price.
Great staff. Clean rooms. Excellent breakfast & room amenities. Pool was very warm and in the sun all day. Close to great restaurants & the beach. Pool access rooms were great but tricky to get out of if not very nimble. Would be good to see some handrails on the pool for older guests.
Hotel has a nice location, accessible to the beach, room is clean and service is awesome! Met up with an unpleasant experience with the money changer opposite Ossotel, really thankful to Arini & Nanang for assisting to recover the values that was conned. Have to go to Circle K to get money changed, not roadside money changers. Will definitely recommend this hotel to people around!
We stayed at the Ossotel Legian Bali for six nights in October/November. We booked via Expedia, paying $163CAD (approx AUD$146 or 1.86 million IDR) per night, including taxes, etc., for a “superior room”, booking only a week in advance. We picked this over a cheaper, but more rustic property and were glad we did. While not new, it is modern looking and provides a calm, serene vibe in the chaos that can be the Bali Legian/Kuta area. We always felt very safe at the Ossotel Legian. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with a hired car/driver showing up and the front desk called the car hire company for us and helped us get it sorted out. That was exceptional service. The room was a bit small (although maybe not by Bali standards, I don’t know). The balcony overlooks the narrow pool that runs the length of the side of the hotel. If we’d had more down-time during our stay, we probably would have sat out there more. The bathroom is oddly finished with frosted glass separating the room/bedroom portion from the bathroom portion. That might sound exotic and fun, but really, it just comes off a bit weird. In addition, the bathroom door is a sliding barn-type, which doesn’t quite cover the door opening, let alone seal the bathroom from the main/bedroom area. Water temperature and pressure were great. The air conditioning worked well, although it was a bit noisy. The hotel provided free, all-you-can-drink (as far as we could tell) bottled water, plus a platter of toiletries, which were very useful. The wifi was unfortunately very slow and almost unusable. I recorded a speed of 1Mbps on speedtest net and of less than 1Mbps on fast dot com. The pool area is very nice. Again, with the way it is walled off, it provides a calm oasis from all the action going on out on the street. We didn’t spend much time at the pool, but we did stop by a couple times, including on our last day when we had some time to kill before heading to the airport. The hotel is in a great location. There is an alley that runs along the side of the hotel (accessible also from the back of the property) out to the road and the beach. There are numerous shops, restaurants and bars within five minutes from the hotel. There is a Circle-K grocery store (with an ATM) across the street, which we stopped at almost every day (for either cash or drinks/snacks/breakfast foods). If I was planning to come back to the Kuta area, I would probably look first at the Ossetel Legian and likely wouldn’t bother looking anywhere else if it was available at a good price.…
We had dinner at the bar area which has a great view of the busy street happenings in Jalan Padma Utara. An extensive cocktail list with plenty of specials. Food was of good quality, although the menu is a lot smaller than in past visits. Prices are average. Staff are friendly and attentive. Also a great place for a late afternoon drink and snacks.
I stayed for 5 days just to see if bali was getting back on its feet. The OSSOTEL is the perfect location in legian. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. The pool access room was great. Best bed ive slept in. Everything you need in toiletries and lovely big shower.Food and drinks with live bands in romeos. Area has everything you need.Great front bar overlooking the world going by. I cant wait to go back to the OSSOTEL, staying longer next time !!
Rooms were clean. That’s the only good thing about this hotel. Wi-Fi: Internet didn’t work at all throughout my stay. The front desk told me it could be be because of the weather. They said it’d be repaired in 2 hours, but that never happened. Breakfast was quite sad. Probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had. It’s pot coffee. You need to pay extra if you want something like flat white. At the time of booking, if you have a choice, don’t opt for breakfast. There are plenty good options, particularly in Kuta. Location: it is quite dead here in the night. Not much action. But you can take a taxi and reach Favia in just about 10-15 mins.
Fabulous location and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff very friendly and obliging and quick with room service requirements. Love the pool access room as my as my friend staying in the room next to me.
Excellent location Friendly service and staff Clean and fresh rooms Good restaurant and breakfast Close to beach and shops Good pool and outdoor seating Central location and walking distance to most attractions
