First time to Bali. Did not like Kuta. Did my research on a hotel/resort and grateful that I choose Alam KulKul. A quiet Oasis across from the beach in busy Kuta. I am glad I didn't choose the others on my short list I was researching; they were tired and loud. Alam KulKul though modern looking, had that Balinese style... More

Staying here currently in a family room. Room stinks of mould, shower tap floods the bathroom, plug doesn't drain in shower. Everything in room is old and tatty Asked for another room, which was exactly the same, smell and all These are not cheap rooms, spend your money elsewhere

I booked Alam KulKul due to the reviews on trip advisor and loved the photos that had been posted. On arrival we were told we were upgraded to a Villa close to the front of the hotel. The room was large with a separate changing area, semi outdoor bathroom and a large bath. The villa had a thatched internal roof and a full wall... This resort is a balinese gem in Kuta opposite the beach. Its close to everything but when you come into the resort its peaceful and relaxing. The gardens and pool areas are beautiful. The staff is great. Breakfast was included which was nice, but not much variety if you stay for 10 days. Only negative was the music during our... More

After 4 days in the Dusun this place was a bit disappointing. We booked the most expensive room, a Java villa which was ok, apart from the many mosquitoes that made our sleep unpleasant. The furniture is old, the bed was ok.The advantage : the beach is just across the street. The breakfast is boring. We had one dinner , the steak... More

Great position - on the beachfront, near Jalan Malasti for shopping and restaurants and within walking distance of The Beachwalk Shopping Centre. Lovely Balinese style hotel with lush gardens, pools with carp and fountains designed in a way that felt quite private. Two pools - one with a bar. Ideal family room as a curtain separated the area with the... More

This is advertised as a 'boutique resort' but there are glaring deficiencies which make it unworthy of that title. The rooms have so many mosquitos, I mean a ridiculous amount. One expects mosquitos in Asia but when I stayed in my room for any length of time there was a fresh one flying out of the air-conditioning every couple of... More
