We were delighted with out stay. The 2 bedroom apartment was huge, plenty of room for the kids to run around. Staff always greeted us with a smile and the fact we could use the hotel facilities was great. Excellent location, right on the beach and many restaurants within the few meters of your front door. Will definitely be back.

The furniture in the room is a bit outdated but still looks OK. Location is perfect, easy access to Legian beach. Cooking equipment is complete, quiet environment, large swimming pools. Easy access to another places, such as Sunset Road, gift shops, attractions such as Upside Down, World of Magic, DMZ. We stayed for 5 nights, my son loves it so much.

Chances are you’ve looked at club Bali family suites because they’re description says it’s great for families, that they have pools and kids club and the beach and playgrounds and beautiful gardens? Well, if that’s what you’re expecting DO NOT book here. Because all of those facilities are part of a different motel which club Bali guests have access too. It’s all a very deceiving marketing ploy and it sucks! This isn’t our first rodeo in Bali; we’ve come to know what to expect and love from a motel and the staff and this disappoints in every regard Every motel we’ve stayed at in Bali we have been greeted wit such enthusiasm, cold drinks and cold towels. Not here. No, not at all. We were treated almost as if we were an inconvenience. Now we travelled as a family group of 4 adults and 2 kids (including an infant) and were really looking forward to the Bali hospitality. At check in we asked about changing one room to be a 2 bedroom which they were most unhappy about and quoted us a price that exceed the price advertised right there in reception! We didn’t move rooms despite showing them they were overcharging us. They actually told us we were wrong and can’t understand the price. So we eventually head up to the room in the oldest lift I’ve ever been in. It stunk like dense old air. Not a good start The room. The room was as pictured; lounge/dining area, a small hall with a bathroom off to the side and the bedroom at the end. Exactly as we expected. What we didn’t expect however was the smell. Mildew, old, dirty air con smell. In both rooms. Coincidentally, both air cons broke on the first night. With both our kids crying in the now 38 degree room, wanting to go to bed for the night after a big day of travel we awaited the hotel to advise what we should do. 4 phone calls to reception and 2 visits to reception later we finally had a maintenance man in one room to repair the aircon. He used our table as a ladder (which was not cleaned afterwards) and came and went 3 times and eventually (to the tunes of our exhausted kids crying close to the middle of the night) or air con was fixed. Room 2 got fixed the next day (it needed re-gassing). The whole place is so dated. The showers are shower over bath. Not amazing deep plunge baths like you might expect from many of the photos. Now let’s get to outside. You’re expecting pools and restaurant and playground and stunning gardens right? Well you get them but You must first leave your motel and walk up a long driveway and enter an entirely different resort. Club Bali has their accomodation buildings and that’s all. They actually have NONE of their own extra amenities. It’s so dull and lifeless. Minimal gardens at club Bali. All the beautiful stuff you’re seeing in the photos is from the other resort. Wifi. Wifi is the only thing I can comment on positively. It works fast and well. You have to reconnect often (if you lock your phone or don’t use it for a bit it cuts off) but that’s ok. It’s otherwise good internet. The manager, if you’re unlucky enough to even meet him is unhelpful and unkind. Slightly arrogant and NEVER available. Told us on multiple occasions that the hotel does have all those facilities because we can access them. We can access the convenience store accross from the hotel; does not mean the hotel has it. They need to change their wording to say “guest of club Bali can access all the facilities of jayakarta resort because we have none of our own to offer” Anyways, be warned. Read the reviews and more importantly read the reply from the manager on the negative comments. Consider what you want from a resort as there are a million other resorts that actually have their own facilities and will offer the traditional Bali hospitality which is what makes Bali so amazing.

Here at Club Bali Family Suites @ Legian Beach, we strive to give every guest a wonderful and memorable experience. It was with a heavy heart we read about your feedback and I must say that we are truly sorry to hear that you feel your experience was not an enjoyable one as the vast majority of our guest's experiences and that it was felt this could not be brought to our attention at the resort whilst our genuinely Balinese hospitality guest service attendants and guest relation officers would actually be glad to assist. Some parts of your comments concern us a lot and it took lots of our time to investigate. It is unfortunate to learn that we could not live up to your expectations on certain aspects, however we found that some of your comments contained therein were not entirely right and this should have been fairly mentioned in your review for the benefits of our readers. Club Bali Family Suites @ Legian Beach is an independently owned property located within the Jayakarta Bali Beach Resort, Residence & Spa complex, developed and managed by Club Bali Hotels & Resorts, not part of Jayakarta Bali Hotel. Club Bali Hotels & Resorts has been operating more than 25 years and currently managing three properties in Indonesia including Club Bali Family Suites @ Legian Beach (Bali), Hawaii Resort Family Suites (Anyer), and Java Highlands Resort (Puncak). As for our property in Bali, being in the same area and sharing the same grounds, the Resort provides the same benefits for all our guests including the full access to various resort facilities such as other guests staying at the hotel. Club Bali Family Suites @ Legian Beach exclusively strive to provide family rooms that are spacious, clean, and comfortable at a value conscious price as great alternatives to standard hotel rooms (not merely a standard hotel room with extra beds) with full services and amenities for up to 4 persons in One Bedroom Suite (45 sqm), 6 persons in Two Bedroom Suite (90 sqm), and 10 persons in Three Bedroom Suite (105 sqm). The room facilities in all our suites (including the en-suite bathrooms, spacious living room with a comfortable sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen with cooking and dining facilities, private balcony/terrace) and all the benefits of beach-front resort facilities make Club Bali Family Suites @ Legian Beach the ideal choice for family and friends traveling together. As we went through with our Guest History Log Book that we use to record our guest problems and concerns during their stay, it has been noted that you actually demanded for a room where should be very close to the main pool or in front of the main pool area which in this case it refers to the hotel room that was offered relatively at a higher price than the apartments in the residence buildings (located in the front area of the resort). Pricing is something of an individual budget and it is up to the guest's preference to choose. The Two Bedroom Suite is advertised for AUS$ 170 (without any promotion) where 4 adults and up to 2 children can stay comfortably in a similar to a 2-Bedroom Apartment in the Residence Building or a Private House with 2 Bathrooms, Spacious Living Room with Sofa Bed, Fully Equipped Kitchen and Private Balcony/Terrace is considerably value for the money especially compared to two units of a hotel’s standard double/twin room for AUS$ 230. With regard to your comments related to the staff service, we are extremely disappointed to learn about your dissatisfaction with the service received from one of our Receptionists upon check-in. I can assure you of our commitment and dedication to provide the best service for our guests and in this case we apologize for your experience that fell short with us. Specifically related to your request to upgrade room (for one of the One Bedroom Suites that have been booked to the Two Bedroom Suite), we found a mistake/inaccuracy by the Receptionist (Yetik) regarding the cost and therefore we have given some corrective actions accordingly. Our team is continuously enhancing the service and facilities therefore your feedback is important. Please rest assured that I have taken necessary actions to prevent any such future occurrence and I would like to get in touch with you directly to learn more about where and how we fell short in detail. It was unfortunate that I could not meet you in person as I was only informed on the day after you checked out. I would appreciate if you could write to me directly at wahyu@clubbali.com at your convenience so I may be able to help resolve your concerns on this particular matter. Further to our investigation results, related to your comment about the air conditioning problem in the room, based on our records, all of the rooms prepared for guest arrivals that day have gone through intensive pre-arrival checking procedures to ensure their cleanliness and overall conditions for the expected arrival guests. There was only a record of problem reported from your room on the first night pertaining to the air conditioning problem and the Receptionist immediately coordinated with the Engineer who immediately came to your room to fix it. In-accordance with our standard operational procedures (related to an electrical or mechanical problem in the guest room), the Receptionist has prepared and offered the alternate room but it was mentioned that the guest still wanted to stay in the same room and the AC problem reported previously has been resolved. It is also noted from the investigation results that the Housekeeping Supervisor came up to check after and she was told that the AC has been fixed. The Room Attendant who looked after your rooms also coincidentally met with your family members when you were preparing for check-out and she was told that there was no major problem in the rooms. A Manager-On-Duty was always available at the Front Desk for immediate assistance and it must be noted that it was only on the fifth day of your stay (Wednesday) when you requested for, and shortly upon receiving your request, the Rooms Division Manager (who represented the management and acted as the Manager-On-Duty) immediately came to meet you after. It should be noted from his report that specifically in this case the guest wanted to check out because the guest demanded a room very close to or in front of the main pool area. He took immediate action internally with the Manager-In-Charge for assisting the early check-out process as well as processing the refund for the unused nights. We are empathetic of your experience and perception of our resort with those compounding issues. We always appreciate and value all of your constructive feedback. We have taken the feedback as a valuable reference as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our facilities and services to make our guests stay more enjoyable and memorable. In the meantime, please feel rest assured that we also have shared some part of your comments further to the management at the hotel related to the particular area (the lift) that needs to be improved for their continuous improvement efforts.
