Into our four final days out of 8 and have loved it. Villa was amazing with our own pool and hotel was very accommodating when we needed to move due to construction on villa directly behind.
Bed was very comfortable upstairs in air conditioning. Downstairs had plenty of space and pool was lovely. Boards alongside need to be mended but just walked around.
Excellent Indonesian food in restaurant all meals.
Spa - a couple of great massage sessions!
All the staff were so pleasant and welcoming!

I stayed at this hotel for a honeymoon. travel quite far from the airport and through a lot of the traffic is paid by the romantic atmosphere of the hotel and away from the crowds. chose this hotel as one of the places to honeymoon is the right choice.

A very pleasant stay, very friendly and kind staff , we had a wonderful time here as we decided not to stay in the busy kuta town, its about 15minutes from Kuta town, this villas was formerly known as jay villas, the previous reviews were not so good, but the place has got a new facelift and has improved since, as we found it to be lovely. Its definitely value for money. we were greeted by the GM Mr Sony wayan himself as we arrived. It would be good to walk around on the 1st day as the signboard to the villas is rather small, otherwise if you rent a bike you are sorted.

The state of the private villas is very poor (rusty tap, cracked floor, broken doors, stained toilet seat, stained curtains, stained mattress). The state of the entire hotel is even worse (green water in the main pool, broken sun deck, broken pathways, dog poo, bags of cement at every corner). We were supposed to stay four nights but checked out after the second one and were not refunded our money of course. The private villas are infested with mosquitoes. The breakfast is really poor and not even included in the price. Stray animals hanging around the villa. The general vibe makes you feel like you are staying in an abandoned construction site. The only pros are the staff trying their best to hide the misery and the quietness of the location. The worse is probably that we paid three times the price we paid in 2019…

Avoid this place if you are looking for tranquillity. The villa right next door to us had 2x little dogs (the worst) barking DAY AND NIGHT NON STOP!
We asked the management, the staff and the guest themselves to at least put them inside or do something about it. No one cares… we didn’t sleep for the entire stay.

Okay - immediately cancelled booking with Agoda upon arrival . Not what it appears in photos . Manager at desk didn’t disagree and we were both on the phone getting our money refunded . Sorry for not getting photos, but trust me when I say stay away until it’s renovated and fixed up

I went on the Honeymoon with my husband I booked Jay villa superior room for 4 nights paid 500USD .. Wen I reached here my expectations washed away and changed into nightmare ..

- I booked superior delux pool villa FYI don't go on the web images u wil fall on ur face like I did.
-over priced rooms tariffs not deserved at all looking at the conditions of the rooms.
-unhygienic dirty ants lizards everywhere and Main Important Air Conditioner doesn't work at all .. U feel feel so so hot.
I have been to many villa but this is I must say is horrible it was raining heavily I could even go to toilet coz it's raining from everywhere

My husband dint like the environment at all so we planned for refund which first said No then they told us to get in touch with Indian agent who booked for us they dropped a mail to them to take cancellation charges and refund money then Jay Villa duty manager say if ur Bali local agent refuses to give u refund that's why we can't help it.. Then the manager say if we are leaving the room b4 3 nights b4 then he wil give us food n spa for tonight complimentary later on behind our back he told his staff to charge us and

Thank you for taking the time giving us such a thoughtful comment. We are very pleased to have a positive or negative comments from our clients like yourself. We are sorry to learn about your experiences that you have had during your stay in Jay Villa Umalas as uncomfortable stay Basically Photos in our website exactly the same as the actual circumstances, there is no deception whatsoever And about ants, lizards everywhere, and less cold the air condition, Although we have been doing routine maintenance, the rainy season when the water was indeed nowhere, because we open toilet, but not as you are complaining about. We perform regular maintenance to quality and feasibility air condition, air condition and in good condition, but at the time it is turned on but the air condition to the toilet door open. And we also have done a pest control treatment, because it is the natural state of the lizard is ubiquitous, it does not mean we leave, but we've done for extermination. You are justified in your reaction that our staff need major repairs in order to provide quality service to our clients. To that end, we have instituted some training in service quality and attitude of the staff and can ultimately satisfy our customers. And we also have provided a replacement to the villa suite, which ever you reject, and operations manager has given a lot of compliment (be it a spa, Eat, even upgraded to a villa suite, including free shuttle when you check out) and we also have coordination with the yours Local Agent in Bali, it's never could Refundable money, because it is not our fault. Jay's Villa is situated in the quiet town of umalas and is an excellent choice for a peaceful and exclusive retreat.
We stayed in a one bedroom deluxe with a private pool and felt it was very good as we wanted an uninterrupted and well rested trip.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and remembered us by our names. They always greeted us and checked on how we were, always helpful and fast with providing information and advices on how to travel around in bali.
Several times we ate in the restaurant at a very late hour and they always patiently waited for us to finish our meals.
Housekeeping staff were very prompt and always tidies our villa up nice and tidy by the time we came back to the villa.
This was a birthday celebration trip for me and the staff actually remembered and surprised me with a cake on my actual day. They even went to the lengths of noticing when we came back to the villa and came with a cake for a pleasant surprise. Very appreciative to all the staffs at the villa for this and especially Lia and Nengah Adnyana who were the ones who came with the cake! Not forgetting all the staffs who wished me a happy birthday when I walked around the villa.
Very personalised experience and very exclusive. Would recommend this to everyone!

This review might be too late but just love to share the perfect honeymoon that I felt on last November 2014.
I got voucher to stay at Jay's villa from one of website and picked to stay for 3 nights there.
Before I booked the date, I checked all the reference and review from other people who ever stayed at Jay's villa in so many hotel/villa booking website.
And from the reference I have seen so much complaint such as the place is not to private, the sounds of fountain near the room might ignoring while sleeping, the room boy like keeping eye on you, there are frogs in the pool, and bla bla bla.
So i mentioned it to the marketing/sales person, that i wanted to have such a perfect place for honeymoon and don't want to have the same bad experience like other people. *i know it sounds so annoying*
So I booked for 8-11 November 2014. And once i arrived there, they informed me that the regular/superior room as what i booked is under repair and they offered me to stay at suite villa without any charge at all.
How lovely was that? After all my annoying message, they still offered me Suite villa without any charge.
The villa was superrrrr cool. It's big, comfy, quite, peaceful.
No frogs around the pool.
And i noticed that every evening the staff used mosquito coils every evening to shoo the mosquito away.
The staffs are also so welcome, smiling and not being intrusive.
The only problem maybe the breakfast.. not so much choices but the taste is not that bad tho.
The position of this villa is not that close to airport but i was in Bali not during peak season so it's not a problem.
Well overall, i had fun and enjoyed the moment during stayed in Jay's villa and surely will be back to this villa in next trip with my husband.

Really did not like this place, it almost ruined our honeymoon and gave a bad first impression of Bali. The staff seemed friendly enough although it can be quite intimidating when you go to leave your room and there are four guys standing outside leering at you. They were everywhere and none of them looked like they worked there as they had no uniforms or name tags. One guy had a uniform from another villa on.
The toilet was blocked and the staff couldn’t reset the safe and when we complained there was suddenly 6 people in our room, no uniforms all chatting on how they could fix it. The room itself was dirty with stains on all the furnishing. The A/c is poor and the gap over the door large enough to get your hand in allows all sorts of bugs in. Bathroom was probably the nicest room and as said the toilet was blocked and there was some stains on the wall.
We ordered dinner in our room the first night (2 x pizza) and it was very bland and neither of us could finish it. Breakfast does not cater for western diets, only noodle and Asian dishes and all sitting out in the open. We only chanced a slice of bread and fruit and that was even poor.
The Spa was run down and not very nice and the entire establishment is in the middle of nowhere and does not feel secure.
The real fun came when the managing director and the sales director requested to have breakfast with us on the first morning. We taught it was to apologise for the state of our villa as we were told they would move us to a better villa that day in the same resort. They were in fact trying to cover the fact they had double booked us in the villa and they wanted to move us three times over the space of our ten day stay to hotels on various parts of the Island. When we said we were not okay with this they responded with “it would be good for you to see more of Bali”. They then proceeded with a sales pitch telling us that “they wanted more Australians to stay with them”. They could tell we were not happy and moved us to a neighbouring villa (The Khayangan Villa) which was nice but still not great food and a remote location. We were expected to move twice more after this move but luckily we booked with a travel agent and this double booking allowed us to be moved to a nice hotel in Nusa Dua (Grand Nikko) which turned our holiday around.
Oh and the pictures online are miss leading and possibly photo shopped.

Hi, Thanks for your message ad questions. Jay's Villa is located not really far away from main road of Jl Semer or kerobokan. Yes, we do have free shuttle service in the villa three times a day starting from 10.00am , 02.00pm and 04.00pm to semiyak square, peti tenget beach and canggu club. We also have transport service on request if you wish to go to different place in different time. This will be charged according to places will be visited..

Thanks for your question. Glad to inform you our bedroom is not only located on the 2nd floor but we do have Deluxe Pool Villas with one floor. The villa is facilitated with private pool and living room. The bed room and bath rooms are located in the same level. Pool access from the villa bed room. It's very romantic and comfortable..
