A beautiful spot to stay and connect with nature. Discovering Bali is all about staying in the small hamlets and this little village of Duda is a beauty. Make sure you get up at 6:00 am for the most stunning sunrise ever. The organic garden serves the needs of the restaurant - such beautiful food! The staff are so kind and we called beforehand and they let us bring our little dog. She loved it and we love to take her away. Ask about the waterfall 30 mins away. You can really fall in love with Bali here. Make sure you have 1 or 2 nights or longer- take a walk through the friendly local village too. Hello, this is the real Bali. Only 1 hr from Ubud (or 45 mins early morning). Easy to get there by self-drive following waze or google maps.

The location of these villa’s is stunning. The drive there makes you wonder where you will end up, but it is all good! The houses itself are basic, the doors and beds creak but there is always this one thing right? The views are magnificent, the staff is very kind, the food is good. You just have to hope that Agung reveals itself but you can watch all day because the landscape, the beautiful ricefields there is so much to see 😍

We are staying in the area and stopped by for lunch, they have the most amazing views of Mt Agung. The food is also really good, a standout dish: The garlic chicken with veggies and rice. Ask nicely and they’ll give you home made sambal too. Recommended.

Stunning peaceful location - we sat on our balcony and watched the ever-changing Mount Agung. Some days it peeps out the clouds and if you are lucky, there it is, in all its majesty. The nightly chorus of frogs lulled us to sleep The staff were always sweet and friendly We were lucky to be there during the Galungan festival. We loved seeing the people making the penjor decorations and the next day we watched the local villagers bring offerings to the temple, all attired in their beautiful traditional clothes. Very special, and no tourists Food varied - some meals were tasty, others a bit bland There seemed to be a lack of management in the week that we were there.
