Bali Marina Villa really spoiled us during our Silver Jubilee! We stayed in the beautiful Bougainvillea Villa with breathtaking views and a huge outdoor area which is completely private! The contact with Marina was fantastic; she is extremely cordial and made sure everything was perfectly arranged. The staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast à la carte was delicious every morning. What made the experience extra special is that there are only three Villas, making the stay feel small and very personal. It felt like coming home, and we can't wait to come back again, but then also together with our daughters!
Oh yes, we can't forget Bob, our driver either! Super Friendly and Especially Good Guide to Trips!!

Marina Villas was the perfect start to our holiday. Having been to Bali many times before we wanted to find somewhere quieter. Amed and Marina Villas provided it. The villa was really comfortable, clean with lots of lovely touches. The staff were very helpful and friendly, bringing meals to the villa was particularly appreciated. Id highly recommend the cooking class and lunch with Kadek the manager. The food we had at the Villas was the best in Amed and we tried a few other places (more expensive). We hope to go back one day.

Stayed in Bougainvillea villa which was great as a family. Extremely friendly staff throughout our entire stay of 4 nights at the end of August. Breakfast is great as is the dinner we had on two nights! We rented scooters directly at the villa and they were in much better condition than in other places we rented scooters. Will stay there again whenever we come back to Bali. Thanks Kadek and team!

The property is so beautiful, even more so in person. Once you are in the villa and by the pool, you have a lovely view of the sea and are surrounded by luscious vegetation. There are only 3 villas, and while we were there Marina was staying in one so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Marina was so kind and made us feel right at home. You can tell she truly cares about the staff, property, and guest experience. The staff led by Kedek also make this place truly special. Kedek is a great chef and our meal there was much fresher and more delicious than the other meals we had in Amed. We did a cooking class with Kedek the next night as well, and the fresh fish they got for the class was enormous! They are so kind and accommodating to any need that you may have, and I also recommend their driver Gede who is very safe yet timely. You can be sure that your experience in Amed will be top notch if you stay at this villa.

We spent 11 nights at the villa over Christmas and New Year and hired the entire villa. The villa's are spacious and beautifully appointed and the grounds and pool spectacular.Nothing was too much trouble for Kadek and his staff.
We thoroughly enjoyed all the meals prepared for us and whilst we tried other restaurants in the area we predominantly ate at the villa. Kadek arranged a cooking demo, scooters massage, yoga, birdwatching, tours etc and was a fountain of knowledge on the customs and culture of Bali. We all appreciated the opportunity of experiencing the villa and Amed and would highly recommend it

Great rooms, really lovely manager Kadek and staff that take care of everything. Kadek offers a cooking class that I recommend. He also is a great chef and catered to my special dietary needs. I love this place and it is the most at home I've felt anywhere in Bali.

We just spent 6 nights at Bali Marina Villas.

Well, where to begin...

Firstly- Marina, who is the villa owner- wonderful pre/during stay communications. I hope to meet her one day- she seems incredibly warm and friendly. Our booking was really smooth and we arranged return transport from Sanur to Amed to the airport through Marina and the villa which worked out really well and fairly priced.

Next- the villa.

We had Villa Frangipani which sits in the middle of the 2 others (another 1 brm and a 2brm). Outstanding outlook from the verandah straight out over the pool, over the greenery and out to the sea.

The villa was really tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable, lots of space, lots of light, lots of storage space, and an in-room safe. The minibar fridge and tea/coffee supplies were plentiful as was unlimited drinking water (you can take your own water bottles from home or refill purchased bottles to promote eco friendliness ) and a great indoor- outdoor bathroom behind the bedroom. Nice quality linen and towels were provided as well as toiletries. Great AC and ceiling fan. Great wifi.

The grounds are superb. Lots of flowers, lots of green, some herbs, some rice. Lots of birds.

The staff; they are perhaps the greatest asset to the property. This is one really lovely team headed up by Kadek the manager. In all honesty I think that this is the most impressed we have been with staff in several trips to Bali. They were so friendly and relaxed and very happy to help us out with anything we needed. We had a great time on many levels; from being scootered around to various snorkelling spots, to being involved in attending a Melasti Ceremony with Kadek and his family (again, thanks so much Kadek- I loved it), to birdwatching walks up in the hills, to just having a chat... it was fantastic. We gained some real insight into the culture and found the entire experience really relaxing. You can also have a massage (I did, and it's highly recommended) or take a number of tours which are explained in the folder in the room.

The food; breakfast was included in our rate and was really great. Lots of menu options and just delicious. Really loved the fresh fruit and kopi bali, lots of choice- Western. Indo or a combo. We ended up eating at the villa every night- Kadek is a supremely good cook and his tuna in banana leaf, sambal matah and urap for me were standout. We enjoyed something different every night and left it to Kadek to choose what to cook. Soo, good.

What else?

Location- also good for us. We aren't party, party so the location worked for us. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance. If you like sweets there is a French influenced resto called Galanga very nearby- profiteroles, icecream ,cake, Illy coffee, etc! we also had a coffee and great chocolate cake at Gusto about 600m walk up the hill. There is beach access right across the road via a side lane with a really nice reef to snorkel. The staff at the small hotel across the road were also happy to let us go through to the beach and to keep an eye on our stuff while we snorkelled- it's a nice spot to have a post swim/snorkel drink. The beach walk is interesting with the stones and black sand, fishing boats, etc. Walked to the headlands morning and afternoons. Also good walking to be had along the roads to the left and the right to a couple of different vantage points for sunset.

All in all, an excellent visit- we certainly hope to return.
Thanks Marina Villas!!

On recommendation from a friend to visit Amed rather than the crowded Kuta, we booked Bali Marina Villas based on other reviews. While we initially wanted to stay in one of the smaller rooms, we ended up in the 2 bedroom Bougainvillea because of availability. We were not disappointed at all!!! It was perfect for 2, in spite of the size. I can't imagine a more gorgeous place to stay and relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens, pool and ocean view. Marina, Kadek, et al, were extremely kind and accommodating. The breakfasts were great, and once Kadek realized we enjoyed hot spicy food, the dinners took on a new life. I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful place. Peace and tranquility take on a new meaning. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space.
