One of the best things about Uyah is the location. Nice and relaxing and far away from the drunken party crowds in Dempasar. Uyah is in Amed, which is a beautiful area that allows you to see the real countryside and hang out with the real Indonesian people, who are warm, honest and quite friendly. Although I can see changes...

We chose Uyah Ahmed as it is recommended by Lonely Planet and on balance we were pretty satisfied. Rooms were a good standard and value for money though restaurant and grounds are a bit tired. Fine for a couple of days, but not enough going on for a longer stay.

We stayed here for one night only, as we wanted to do snorkeling in the Amed area. The hotel is one of the first few hotels u will come across if you drive coming from the "Culik" town (most people coming to Amed will choose this road). It turns up its location has its own bonus, great view of Mount...

Stayed here with my wife for 4 nights and had a great time. Very basic accommodation but clean and pleasant rooms. Staff all very friendly. My only negative is that they didnt provide any drinking water in the rooms and the cooling system is very mild...Great house reef for muck diving though!!!
